It was a fantastic day bringing together local businesses, the Iona community and supporters from across the Bayside, all while raising funds to support the Iona Music Program.

At KEID In Electrical, we’re proud to support initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

This year, our Director, Scotty Keid, is once again taking part in the Wheelchair Challenge after participating last year. It’s an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the everyday challenges faced by people living with mobility impairments while helping raise awareness for the importance of accessibility and inclusion.

We’re incredibly proud of Scott for getting involved again and representing Wynnum Commerce in such a meaningful community initiative.

🔥 WE’RE HIRING – THERMOGRAPHY & COMPLIANCE ELECTRICIAN 🔥

Keid In Electrical is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for an electrician to join our Thermographic Solutions division.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of the electrical industry and is looking for a role that combines inspections, testing, reporting and hands-on electrical work.

The role includes:
✔ Thermal imaging (thermography) inspections
✔ RCD testing and compliance audits
✔ Electrical safety inspections
✔ Preventative maintenance reporting
✔ Commercial and industrial site inspections
✔ General electrical work across commercial and domestic projects

This position may suit:
🔹 An experienced electrician looking for a change of pace
🔹 A maintenance electrician
🔹 Someone with thermography or thermal imaging experience
🔹 An electrician interested in learning a specialised area of the industry
🔹 Someone who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with clients

Experience in thermography is highly regarded, but not essential. If you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.

Keid In Electrical is a well-established, medium-sized electrical company seeking a motivated and reliable 1st Year Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team.

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career in the electrical industry. You’ll work alongside experienced electricians on a variety of residential and commercial projects, gaining hands-on experience while completing your apprenticeship.

Requirements:

• Completion of a pre-apprenticeship (Cert II in Electrotechnology / Pre-Vocational TAFE course)
• Genuine interest in the electrical trade
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and reliable attendance
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• White Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Must hold a current manual driver’s licence

We’re excited to be involved in the Surfers Paradise Coach Interchange project, working alongside the team at JMac.

Great to be part of a project in such an iconic location, and we’re looking forward to delivering our scope and seeing it all come together.

We’re incredibly proud to be part of this awesome project with the Carina Women’s Shed 🙌

Getting power to the shed hasn’t been a straightforward process, but that’s what makes it even more rewarding to now see it all coming together.

This stage involved installing the property pole to allow for the Energex supply — a key step in bringing the shed to life and getting everything powered up ⚡️

Projects like this are what it’s all about for us — supporting local community groups and helping create spaces that bring people together.

Can’t wait to see the saws buzzing soon!
