A thermal expansion valve, or thermostatic expansion valve (often abbreviated as TEV, TXV, or TX valve), is a component in vapor-compression refrigeration and air conditioning systems that controls the amount of refrigerant released into the evaporator and is intended to regulate the superheat of the refrigerant that flows out of the evaporator to a steady value.

Often more than not connected to a refrigerant distribution system which allows refrigerant liquid evaporate to absorb heat energy.

What a beautiful morning to be carrying out the annual mechanical fire testing with our good friends at remacfire.

Extremely interesting place here at BlueScope in Erskine Park where the products are painted and shipped out for manufacturing.

Interesting fact: The paint machine will prime and paint 96 meters of metal Colourbond sheeting per minute. Some of the metal coils that go through the machine is over 10Km long 😳

We were on site today commissioning a new system for another happy client, replacing an ageing R22 unit that had reached the end of its life.
