This is Prostanthera incisa, one of my favourite flowering herbs!
It is also called Native Thyme or Cut Leaf Mint.
It’s incredibly aromatic and can be used medicinally and for cooking and herbal teas.
It is native to SA, Vic and NSW so grows beautifully here on the Fleurieu.
It is a stunning addition to your edible or decorative garden.

Have you tried out wicking beds?
We have been playing with them for the past few years and have found them to be fantastic for keeping water up to plants- especially coming into summer!
They use less water overall and you need to water much less frequently, you can even go away for the weekend and they will look after themselves! Easy peasy!
Here’s ours coming along with broad beans, spinach, lettuce and kale.

Hi! Meet Deb and Gruff!

Deb grew up in Willunga and lives on Willunga Hill with her partner Gruff and two children on their family farm.
Deb is an architect who specialises in eco homes and has followed her passion for the environment and self sufficiency into landscape design and permaculture design systems.
She has a passion for holistic house and garden design which work together to create healthy homes.

Gruff grew up on the Malvern Hills in the UK, which bare a striking resemblance to the Willunga Hills of his current home.
Gruff has worked in many areas of landscape design and has a broad knowledge of gardening. He works in arboriculture, removing and pruning trees and tree management. Gruff also has a passion for food gardens, pollinator attracting plants, chemical free w**d management and native gardens.
Gruff also has many skills in building and can build many other garden projects like chicken coops, garden sheds and other structures.
