🔧 WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Commercial mowing and grounds maintenance
• Operating zero-turn and ride-on mowers
• Working across large acreage properties
• Whipper snipping, edging and blowing
• Garden and landscape maintenance
• W**d control and chemical application
• Pruning and general horticultural work
• Keeping gardens, lawns and outdoor areas looking sharp
• Safe daily operation and care of machinery
• Working solo and as part of a small team
• Representing us professionally on client sites
• Following WHS procedures at all times
• Working around schools and childcare environments when required

✅ WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• 5+ years' experience in commercial mowing and/or landscape maintenance
• Proven zero-turn/ride-on mower experience
• Experience on large acreage and commercial properties
• Current AC/DC chemical application licence/certification
• Strong knowledge of turf, plants, weeds and landscape maintenance
• Solid understanding of machinery operation and upkeep
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Sharp attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• The confidence to work independently and own the outcome
• Good communication and customer service skills

📋 ESSENTIAL CHECKS

Some of our work is on childcare and community sites, so you'll need:

• National Police Check
• Blue Card (Working with Children), or the ability to get one
• Appropriate chemical application certification/licence
• Appropriate driver's licence
• A clear employment and professional history

Here at Sow Mow we have been mowing lawns for people in need and doing so much in the background for years. We are slowly gaining momentum and know that in time we will be sharing some amazing stories and bringing hope to the community, one job at a time. I would like to say a big thank you to Trackwell Australia for donating this mower to help keep the community lawns under control. We will be sharing more as we continue serving the community. Metal health is important, so please talk to someone if you are struggling and never be afraid to ask for help. It will all be ok in the end, so if you’re not ok, it’s not the end…!!!

WIDESPREAD MINOR TO MAJOR FLOODING WITH SIGNIFICANT LOCALISED FLOODING LIKELY LATER THIS WEEK

Rainfall associated with Tropical Cyclone Alfred has the potential to cause major flooding along Queensland coastal rivers from Maryborough to the NSW Border, and across the Condamine and Border Rivers area.

Isolated flooding may develop from Friday morning, with more widespread flooding likely from overnight Friday into Saturday, continuing into early next week.

The location of the heaviest rainfall and most severe flooding will depend on the track of Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Heavy and locally intense rainfall is forecast from Thursday night over South East Queensland and across the Condamine and Border Rivers area, as the Tropical Cyclone approaches the coast late Friday. The heaviest rainfall will be south of the Tropical Cyclone track.

Catchments are dry to moderately wet across the Flood Watch area.

High tides and large waves are expected to increase the flood risk and impacts in low lying coastal areas.

Rapid and dangerous river level rises and flash flooding are expected across many creeks, associated with the heaviest rainfall. Widespread minor to major riverine flooding is possible. Areas at risk will continue to be revised during the coming days.

Mary River

Noosa River

Sunshine Coast Rivers and Creeks

Pine and Caboolture Rivers

Upper Brisbane River

Lower Brisbane River
(Including creeks in Ipswich and Brisbane)

Logan and Albert Rivers

Gold Coast Rivers and Creeks

Condamine Rivers

Macintyre River
(including Dumaresq River and Macintyre Brook)

Weir River
