Ive been working on this 2 acre property for around 8 years now. It is one of the larger properties, I have the pleasure of maintaining. This week came with a little bit of a challenge as the ground was wet, therefore the ride on mower didn’t like the slippery slopes. I persevered and completed what I wanted to achieve for the day.

Please enjoy some of the before and after pictures.

I was tidying up the weeds that I had left from last week, as I was about to put them in the wheelbarrow, something moved ever so slowly. Needless to say, I dropped everything immediately and left the snake in peace. Alerted my client that there is a snake on his property.

This is a shoutout to Black Snake Productions as over the years, I have attended their information sessions, and learnt a lot.

I may not know what species this snake is.

I do know that never get complacent, in and around the garden. I will be more cautious about leaving piles of vegetation on the ground, and if I need to do so to use a rake to move the weeds.

Tammy.

A Fruit Fly Regional Coordinator has been appointed in the Yarra Valley to help protect horticultural production and keep the area fruit fly free. While many methods are used to control fruit fly, the critical factor is people working together.
