Great day out in Steels Creek today removing this spotted gum (Corymbia maculata). 🌳☀️

The tree was removed due to leaf litter effecting the clients drinking water as well as the tree causing problems for the shed it was growing over.

The team did a killer job getting this all processed in a day 🤙

Finally getting that summer sun ☀️🥵

Unfortunately, this tree died over the year. The clients didn't want to fully remove the tree, so they opted to turn it into a habitat tree. 🌲🦆

Removing the hazardous limbs and leaving the main structure of the tree, plus adding in some hollows, can be a great way to give a tree like this a "second life". 🐨🐦🦜 we'll be adding some nesting boxes as well to make sure that this tree gets some new residents
