BehindTheBrushEp3 They’re on. No turning back now.

T-bones hitting the fire and I am fully committed to this decision. The cows out in Matt’s paddock are keeping their distance.

This is fine.

The main event. T-bones prepped and ready to hit the fire.

No recipe. No thermometer. No plan. Just vibes and a good piece of meat.

What could go wrong.

Before the main event. Veggies on the fire, doing the prep work like a professional — or at least pretending to be one.

T-bones are coming. We’re not rushing this.

Pretty sure I’ve painted kitchens nicer than my cooking but we’ll see how tonight goes.

Day done. Matt’s on the tractor hauling tree stumps in and we’re cooking T-bones steaks straight on the fire tonight.

Life’s pretty good out here.

End of a big few days out at Dalby, couple more to go. Fire’s going, stars are out, and we’re a long way from the city.

This is what it’s all about. 🔥⭐

Our good mate and close family friend Matt runs his farm 7 days a week out near Dalby — and somehow found time to build his own home on the property. Absolute legend.

We were brought in to handle the painting and we’re stoked to be part of it. Means a lot when it’s for people close to you.

More to come as we wrap this one up. 🎨

Just wrapped up this beauty in Redcliffe. This old church needed some serious love and we made sure every detail counted. There's something special about restoring heritage work like this, knowing it'll be around for another generation. If you've got a project that needs proper attention to detail, we're your crew.

Same job. External eaves this time.
Barely any prep done. No gap filling, barely enough paint to call it a coat.
Skip the prep and within a couple of seasons paint lifts and you’re redoing the lot.
Let’s do it properly.

This is what happens when painters take shortcuts. The previous crew painted straight over completely rotted timber. No prep, no repair, no replacement. Just paint hiding a much bigger problem underneath. Paint isn’t a band-aid. If the substrate is rotten, it needs to come out and be replaced before a single drop of paint goes on. We see this far too often and it always costs the homeowner more in the long run. Quality prep is the job. The paint is just the finish.
