Why have one licenced plumber, when you could have two?

It's nearly Christmas, if you're planning for a big Christmas with your friends and family it's time to make sure your plumbing is up to the task! Why not impress your guests with a nice new kitchen mixer or maybe it's time for a new oven so the roast is cooked just right? (And whilst you're at it, why not ask our Student Dietitian and amateur food scientist about how to get the gravy just right?) Maybe it's time to upgrade your water tank to lower your water bills and catch all of that summer rain?

Call today and let us make your plumbing perfect!

For a carefree 2025 it’s time to talk about ✨PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE✨

What is preventative maintenance? How does it apply to plumbing?

Preventative maintenance is like changing the oil in your car. It is designed to prevent issues from occurring by pre emptively replacing fixtures prone to failure such as flexible hoses, inlet cisterns, drain cleaning and even subsoil drainage. It can be as simple as a tap washer or an anode in your hot water system.

Why should I pay for preventative maintenance?

A burst flexible hose under your sink can cost thousands of dollars of damage and the inconvenience of dealing with a slow repair process and dealing with insurance companies. They should be replaced every 10 years OR if showing any cosmetic signs of damage such as kinking, fraying, rusting or stiffness.

The anode in your hot water system is designed to break down over time by sacrificing itself to handle the minerals in the water supply. Once the anode has been broken down those minerals will impact the cylinder of your hot water system leading to premature failure and expensive replacement.

Pooling or ponding of rainwater in your garden during storms can disrupt your enjoyment of your space as well as potentially damage surrounding structures. This pooling can be rectified with a subsoil drainage system leaving you prepared for the next wet season!

Slow drainage of bath water and the occasional “bubble” can indicate partial blockage of your sewer system. This can be investigated and cleaned more easily than if you wait for a full blockage to occur, saving you money and avoiding inconvenience.

Slow dripping taps and toilet leaks can impact your water bill costing you money and wasting water. These are easily fixed allowing you to only pay for the water you’re using.

Are you looking at getting a new clothes dryer? With the weather cooling down and power prices going up maybe you are considering a new dryer?
Heat pump dryers are incredibly slow but there is an alternative, a gas dryer from Rinnai. At up to 43% quicker drying time and 60% reduction in energy costs compared to electric dryers the Rinnai Drysoft is available in 4 or 6kg and LPG or natural gas. These auto sensing dryers can dry a full load in around 45mins and are very efficient. Also being flued outside there’s no more condensation in your laundry.
We can supply and install all models and accessories including wall mounting and flue options.

Some before, during and after photos of some drainage we completed recently. The first picture shows a lot of water against the house, this can lead to damp and mould and even flooding inside.
We have installed pits for surface water (it will be concreted soon) and subsoil drainage to remove the ground water.

A Solar hot water system we installed recently, these evacuated tube solar are incredibly efficient even during cloudy days. This has been operating for about two months now and the owner has only used the electric booster three times. If you are considering a new solar HWU you can’t go past a Thermann evacuated tube solar. Call us for a site inspection and quote today.
