🏆 EndFire Engineering Pty Ltd is proud to be nominated as a finalist in two categories at the prestigious 2026 FPA Australia Industry Awards, Fire Protection Project of the Year and the Harry Marryatt Fire Protection Company of the Year.

This recognition is not the result of a single project. It reflects a consistent standard of delivery applied across our portfolio, and a disciplined approach our team brings to every project, particularly in high-consequence environments where system performance is critical, and there is no margin for error.

Much of what we design and deliver is intentionally unobtrusive. Fire pump rooms, suppression systems, detection networks and supporting infrastructure are seamlessly integrated into complex facilities to operate without failure when required. These systems are not built for visibility. They are built for certainty, resilience and long-term performance.

Projects such as AIR7000 at RAAF Base Tindal, which has been nominated for the Fire Protection Project of the Year, demonstrate this capability in practice. The project delivery involved large-scale aviation infrastructure, highly complex fire protection systems and stringent Defence requirements within operating environments where precision is essential and concessions are not an option. Success depends on rigorous engineering, coordinated ex*****on across stakeholders and an uncompromising attention to detail from design through construction and commissioning.

After more than 26 years in the industry, our presence across the Australian and international fire protection landscape continues to grow, and it is encouraging to see that reflected through this recognition. We are proud of our team and the standard of work delivered across the business, and we look forward to the awards night. Congratulations to all finalists and best of luck to everyone on the night. 👏🔥

🛡️ AIR7000 – RAAF Base Tindal, Northern Territory

EndFire Engineering Pty Ltd has successfully delivered the complete fire protection and detection package for the Triton Maintenance Hangar facilities at RAAF Base Tindal, in collaboration with our client Sitzler, as part of the AIR7000 Phase 1B program.

This project forms part of a significant investment in Australia’s northern defence capability, supporting the MQ-4C Triton remotely piloted aircraft system and associated mission-critical aviation infrastructure.

Aircraft hangar environments present highly specialised fire protection challenges, requiring systems capable of responding to aviation fuel hazards, high-value assets, electrical infrastructure, and lithium-ion risks with absolute reliability and precision.

Endfire’s scope involved the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a fully integrated fire protection and detection solution, incorporating:
🔸 Diesel-driven multi-pump fire water systems delivering up to 29,000 litres per minute, with duty and standby configuration for full operational redundancy
🔸Fire water storage tanks, civil infrastructure, and large-bore pipework networks supporting site-wide fire water distribution
🔸Low expansion pop-up SFFF foam suppression systems with FireDos GmbHs proportioning units calibrated to a precise 3 percent concentrate ratio for aviation fuel fire scenarios
🔸ESFR and high-hazard sprinkler systems providing high-performance coverage across hangar environments
🔸Advanced detection systems including hydrocarbon, flame, and lithium-ion detection technologies for early hazard identification
🔸Fully integrated fire indicator panels, Building Management System interfaces, and base-wide monitoring systems enabling real-time operational visibility

All systems were delivered within a live Defence construction environment, requiring complex multi-trade coordination, strict compliance, and disciplined ex*****on across all stages of works.

In response to revised operational requirements, the project was accelerated to achieve completion ahead of program, with installation, testing and commissioning delivered under significant schedule pressure while maintaining quality and safety outcomes.

All fire protection systems passed testing and commissioning on first attempt, confirming the integrity of design, coordination and installation.
The completed systems now provide a fully integrated, high-reliability solution supporting the safe and continuous operation of a nationally significant Defence asset.

This project represents another successful delivery by Endfire, demonstrating our capability to execute complex, integrated fire protection and detection systems within Defence environments.

EndFire Engineering Pty Ltd continues to expand its presence across nationally significant infrastructure projects, delivering fire protection and detection systems in environments where complexity is the baseline, not the exception.

On the NSW Government's Western Harbour Tunnel project, current works include the installation of deluge pipework, manifolds and deluge valves & cross-passage connections between tunnel sections. These systems form part of the tunnel’s permanent life safety infrastructure and are being delivered alongside ongoing underground construction activities.

Underground tunnel projects demand absolute clarity in sequencing, disciplined coordination across multiple interfaces, and the ability to adapt to restricted access and constantly evolving site conditions. In underground infrastructure, there is no margin for error, with system performance critical to life safety and operational resilience.

It is within these challenging conditions that Endfire operates best, and where our difference continues to be defined.

🏗️Project Update | Cairns Hospital Expansion Project

Works continue to progress well on the Cairns Hospital Expansion Project, with several key Fire Protection and Detection milestones recently achieved across multiple hospital areas.

🧯D6 Ward
The D6 ward represents a substantial scope of work for the EndFire Engineering Pty Ltd team. This area incorporates both wet and dry fire systems throughout, reflecting the size and complexity of the ward environment. The zone has now successfully passed the rough-in stage, with sheeting recently commenced, marking an important step forward in the construction program.

✅RNR – Respiratory Area
The RNR area, supporting respiratory services, was completed just prior to Christmas. This space includes fully integrated wet and dry fire protection systems, delivered to meet the requirements of a specialised clinical environment.

🚒A Ground – Clinical Store
A Ground is a smaller clinical store area within the project, where dry fire services only were required. The brigade test was completed last week and passed with no issues, closing out this area successfully.

Much of this work disappears once the walls go up, but the responsibility behind it stays for the life of the building. It's work that sits out of sight, yet underpins the safety of patients, staff, and critical clinical spaces every single day.

👏 A solid effort from the team on site as the Cairns Hospital Expansion Project!
