Growing food in the tropics isn't always easy, but it's always worth it 🌿

Still racing to pick these before the birds get to them 😅

Time to harvest the Kipfler potatoes I've been growing in Woolies bags! 🥔

I dug through all three bags, but the harvest wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. Maybe I needed to plant them earlier in the season.

That's gardening, though! I'll take what I've learnt and give it another go next season. 🌱

Have you had much luck growing potatoes in bags?

A little look at some of my favourite flowers in the garden at the moment. 🌸🌼

I can never pick just one favourite! I love spring 🌺

I save my eggshells instead of throwing them away! 🥚🌱

I dry them in the oven, crush them up with my mortar and pestle, then store the powder until I'm ready to prepare my garden beds for next season.

It's one way I make use of kitchen scraps in the garden!

Do you save your eggshells too?

Zinnias make me almost as happy as Sunflowers do!

Picking fresh curry leaves from my own tree to make a curry for dinner tonight. 🌿🍛

It's so handy having fresh leaves growing right in the backyard! Do you grow your own curry tree?

Another six eggplants harvested from the garden! 🍆🌱

While I was picking them, I spotted this green vegetable bug and had to stop to show you all. They're certainly keeping me on my toes out here! 😂🪲

Have you been finding these in your garden too? They are so annoying

I've started cleaning up my potted plant area, and I'm kinda liking the cleared space! 🌿

The plants used to sit on a shelf against the pool fence, but now that I've moved everything, the area feels so much better.
I now have absolutely no idea where I'm going to put all my plants! 😂🌿

Looks like I've created a problem for myself.

I made my very first terrarium! 🌿

I started with a small vase I found at the thrift shop and had a go at putting the whole thing together myself. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I'm really happy with it! 😍 I still need to buy a lid for it, but for now it's sealed with cling film # 😉

What do you think? Did I do okay for my first one? 😂🌿
