When FarmFest gets busy, everyone pitches in.

The first photo captured a moment many visitors probably didn’t notice — Ryan jumping in to help the team, taking down details and chatting through upcoming projects.

Many people know Ryan as one of the founders of R & F Steel Buildings. What some may not know is that he also runs a lucerne farm on the Darling Downs. It’s one of the reasons rural projects have always been close to home for us.

From machinery sheds and workshops to hay storage and fertiliser bunkers, Ryan understands these buildings from both sides of the fence — not just as a builder, but as someone who relies on them every day.

As R & F has grown across Queensland, one thing hasn’t changed. Every location is owned and operated by locals who take the time to listen, understand what customers need and help find the right solution for their property.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand for a chat during FarmFest. We enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, meeting plenty of new ones, and hearing about the exciting projects you’ve got planned.

We’re really proud of the team for getting this 947m² custom build up so quickly - precision, scale, and teamwork at its best.

We recently completed this 9m x 13.8m concrete slab near Goombungee, a great example of the standard we build to.

This project features a fully engineered raft slab design - rather than a basic pier-and-rat-wall approach. And that difference matters.

Honestly, coming up with a name for a 947m² shed perched on a hill? Easier said than done. We tried “Tiny Shed,” “Little Glencoe,” and “It’s Just a Shed”… all which didn’t quite stick. 😅

We finally settled on a name for this beast: The Glencoe Giant. 🏗️

Stay tuned — it’s going to be epic!
