Curves & Craftsmanship in the Works! 🪵✨

Something special is taking shape in the workshop! We’re kicking off an exciting new project that is all about soft lines, natural warmth, and high-end timber detail—and yes, there are plenty of curves involved.

The Details:
American Oak Natural Timber Veneer: The entire job is crafted from this stunning, character-rich timber.

Mastering the Curves: Woody is currently in the thick of crafting all the custom curved end panels, bringing this intricate design off the plans and into reality.

The Finish: We’ll be completing the look with an Osmo white tint finish, giving the natural Oak a beautifully subtle white-washed look that lets the grain shine through.

The precision required for curved veneer work is next level, and the whole CCK team is pumped to see this one come together and head out for installation.

This year Andrew is coming up on 10 years with CCK, and it's hard to imagine the place without him! 

Andrew is an incredibly talented cabinetmaker with an exceptional eye for detail. Whether it's a complex custom joinery project, a tricky installation, or helping out in the office with drafting and quoting, he's always willing to jump in and get the job done. His versatility, knowledge and commitment to quality make him an invaluable part of our team. 

More importantly, he's an all-round great bloke who everyone enjoys working with.

We love a complete transformation! This project involved a full rip-out of the old kitchen to make way for this sleek, minimalist entertainer's kitchen. By bringing the cabinetry all the way to the ceiling and maximizing the island space, we’ve completely changed how this home feels.

​The team hit the ground running today to bring this stunning space to life. Here’s how the lineup looked:

​Tim took charge of the kitchen, laying down the foundation for the heart of the home. 🍳

​Woody pulled double duty, holding down the fort in both the scullery and the laundry. 🧼

​Dan set straight to work on the vanities, nailing the finer details. 🔨

​We are absolutely loving how the custom features are shaping up already—especially the curved Steccawood batten island bench back panel and those beautiful curved overhead end panels. 😍

Behind the Build: The Curved Island Bench 🛠️✨

Get ready to go behind the scenes with our lead installer, Tim, as he breaks down the craftsmanship behind this custom island bench!

The Details:
The Curve Appeal: Tim is walking us through the structural build of these intricate curves. Getting the framing perfect is key to a seamless finish.

The Cladding: We are wrapping this beauty in Polytec Boston Oak Stecca Wood (half-round battens). The texture of the timber-look battens combined with the soft curves is going to be a total game-changer for this kitchen.

Precision Work: From the internal structure to the final batten placement, it’s all about the millimetre-perfect details that CCK is known for.

We love working with teams like Goodwin Build Co who aren't afraid to bring bold, architectural designs to life. This house is going to be something special!

Coastal Luxury in Airlie Beach 🏝️

​A few weeks ago, Craig and Sam swapped the workshop for the coast for a very special project up at Airlie Beach.

​This wasn't just a standard install—the boys spent a full week on-site, working hard to get every detail perfect. In just 5 days, they managed to assemble and install the entire project, ensuring everything was seamless and ready for its new home.

​The Standout Features:

​Modern Sleekness: We used 2-pack J-pull style doors for a clean, handle-free look that perfectly suits a modern coastal aesthetic.

​Community Connection: We were proud to feature timber work expertly crafted by the talented local furniture maker, TKEL Furniture. The pairing of the sleek 2-pack finish with that raw, reclaimed wood is a total showstopper!

​It was a big week of work, but seeing this design come to life against such a beautiful backdrop made it all worth it. Craig and Sam crushed the 5-day turnaround, proving once again that distance is no barrier to CCK quality.
