During a five-year tenure at HOMAG Australia, I managed installations nationwide and completed advanced training in Germany with their technical experts.

I’m a seasoned woodworking technician with over 20 years’ experience specialising in the installation, maintenance and reconditioning of ERMO, HOMAG and BRANDT edge-ba**ers and gluepots. Beginning my career in 2004 alongside ERMO’s founder Ernest, I helped build machines from the ground up before moving into field service and preventative maintenance. Another successful service completed for a valued customer. Here’s what was done to bring their machine back to peak condition:

✅ Cleaned and lubricated all bearings and adjusters
✅ Replaced infeed cylinder, gripper pads, and bushes

To service this machine to peak performance, the machine required:
➡️Cleaned and lubricated bearings and adjusters.
➡️Exchanged pre-milling cutters.
➡️Reconditioned the gluepot.
➡️Reconditioned the gluepot mounting.
➡️Replaced the radius cutters.
➡️Changed the flat scrappers.
➡️ Conducted a complete setup of the HOMAG KAL edge ba**er to suit a 1mm and 2mm edge tap.
➡️Spent time running boards through the machine to ensure that the customer was satisfied with its performance.
