22 Downlights - all controlled by one switch 😲

We received a call from a homeowner who had 22 downlights replaced by someone advertising as an "electrician" on HiPages. After the job was completed, none of the switches worked - except the garage switch, which now controlled every light in the house!

We re-arranged our schedule to attend urgently, and the video below shows what we found.

25 x extension leads and 7 power boards, installed by the so-called electrician, as he didn't know how to re-wire the downlights. A potential fire risk, and a house full of useless downlights and existing switches.

The lesson: cheapest is not always the best. Always check a contractor's licence and research the business before hiring. Choosing All Class Electrical means your job will be completed safely, legally and professionally.

A nice custom made feature light/mirror combination for a great customer. For this one we bent aluminium channel to match the curve of the wall recess, glued and screwed it in place, removed the screws and installed the led strip. You won’t find another one like this!
