Disney On Ice in the Cooks Plumbing Corporate Suite ❄️✨

A big shoutout to the team at Cooks Plumbing Castle Hill for inviting us to Disney On Ice at Qudos Bank Arena last weekend!

Rohan has been friendly with the Cooks team for almost 15 years—right back to when he first started his plumbing apprenticeship at just 16. And has been using the Castle Hill branch since they opened.

We took our little ones along and had such a great time. Lightning McQueen and Beauty and the Beast were definite favourites, along with the popcorn and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on tap! 🍿🍦

Yesterday, Ben and Colin swapped the tool belt for a notebook.

We took the team to the "Greatness in Business" seminar — a day focused on growth, mindset, and getting better at both the business side of things and life outside work.

It would've been easy to skip it and stay heads-down on jobs. But we think looking after our people is just as important as looking after your pipes. A team that's growing and supported does better work — and that flows straight through to the service you get from us.

Proud of these two for showing up and getting stuck in. More of this to come. 💪

Blocked Drain Repaired Properly in Castle Hill

We recently had an existing client in Castle Hill contact us about a blocked drain.

Once we arrived and investigated the issue, we found the real cause was a broken sewer junction underground. The damaged junction was located around 1.4m deep, directly underneath a concrete footpath.

To access the damaged sewer pipe, we had to cut and remove the concrete, jackhammer the area and carefully excavate down to the pipework. Once exposed, we removed the broken sewer junction and replaced it with new PVC pipe.

After the repair was complete, we tested the sewer line, encased the pipe in gravel, backfilled the excavation and re-concreted the footpath to leave the area safe and tidy.

This is why recurring blocked drains should always be properly investigated. Sometimes the blockage is only a symptom of a bigger issue underground.

We recently received a call from a Castle Hill homeowner who had water leaking into her living room every time it rained.

After carrying out an inspection, we found that rainwater was running against the external wall of the home and slowly making its way through the brickwork, into the subfloor, and eventually onto the living room floor.

To fix the issue, we dug a 1.6 metre deep trench by hand along the side of the house to avoid damaging the garden. Once the area was cleared, we arranged for the external wall to be waterproofed.

After the waterproofing had dried, we installed agricultural drainage pipe, geotextile fabric, and 10mm drainage gravel, then connected the new drainage system into a pit and the existing stormwater line.

The issue has now been resolved, helping protect the home from future water ingress during heavy rain.

Water leak fixed with liquid nitrogen!

A customer in Castle Hill rung us about a leaking water meter for a block of units. Because the leak was on top of a water meter, there is no way to isolate the water, so we had to freeze the pipe with liquid nitrogen, so we could work on the pipework and fix the leak without flooding.

This block of units was managed under strata. We wrote a report to detail our findings and of our work.

Downpipe blockage and outdoor flooding in Castle Hill fixed quickly and neatly.

The customer called us explaining that his stormwater pipes were blocking up and there was water pooling at the side of his home.

Our team responded rapidly and used our special CCTV sewer pipe cameras to investigate the cause of the blockages and flooding. We found the pipes were completely collapsed under the ground. Flooding would continue if the issue wasn't rectified.

After discussing options, we concluded with the customer that we would re-run the front two downpipes into the street. This involved digging up the grass neatly, and replacing it.

The customer was extremely happy with the work and has referred us to his daughter for her plumbing works in Baulkham Hills. He was particularly happy with the neatness of the dig up and how quick we were able to fix the problem.

A job well done, planned meticulously and executed with Precision by the Precision Pipes team. Thanks to the customer and his family for using our services.

🏉 Great night out at the Broncos vs Roosters game with the team from Tradelink!
