Luise’s Terrace Garden
Working with Jamie Bligh of Care of Studio, we set out to turn a forgotten dunny lane into a flourishing courtyard garden—without tearing up the existing concrete slab. The challenge was clear: minimal intervention, maximum impact. Every detail had to work hard, creating a space that felt effortless, abundant, and seamlessly connected to the home. No soil, no depth—no problem.

Luise’s Terrace Garden
Working with Jamie Bligh of Care of Studio, we set out to turn a forgotten dunny lane into a flourishing courtyard garden—without tearing up the existing concrete slab. We reached an important milestone yesterday on our Monaro project, with the first 700 plants finding their new home.
The 30+ degree heat and 1:2 slope weren’t the easiest conditions but the Jindabyne Landscape Crew and local ecological superhero Liz MacPhee did a stellar job!
Only 9000 odd to go!

We are brining back endemic species from the Monaro Tableland Cool Temperate Grassy Woodland in the South Eastern Highlands Bioregion, what a mouthful!
A huge biodiversity win for the project. More to come in the months ahead.

For the last year and a bit we have been working on a special alpine project.
This week we spent a couple of days working with talented machine operators to carefully create this boulder wall. These boulders didn’t have to move far, with all being sourced from the site of the building.
Granite boulders form an important part of the local landscape character and we are using them in the garden as a way to connect to this unique and beautiful landscape.
Many more exciting aspects of this project to come over the next 6 months.
