For anyone who's built a Pinnacle Pool, there's a good chance you've had the pleasure of meeting Dave. And for those of you who haven't had that good fortune, this is as close as you may get to seeing his camera-shy face.

He's been with us since the very beginning, with a concrete pool-building career spanning many decades (we'll spare him the indignity of sharing how many 😉).

His precision, in-depth knowledge and expertise is a very rare find in the pool industry, and we have been lucky to have him in our team, sharing that expertise with you. He's built hundreds of pools, managing his projects with aplomb and now it's time for him to take a break, travel and enjoy the retirement life... for a while...

Just quietly, we hope he'll get bored and come and hang out with us again soon, but just in case retirement is too much fun, we wanted to extend a huge thank you for the years you've worked with us, building beautiful pools and delivering over and above for our wonderful clients. We wish you all the best in your next adventure and hope to see you soon!

From the moment we first arrived at our client's place in Sutherland we were excited. Nestled into the most gorgeous block of land backing onto bush, with a creek running through the middle of the yard, we were instantly on board with the vision. A setting like this just begs you to spend time outside, immersed in nature, but we still want to do that in comfort, am I right?!

So our team, Life Outdoors, Pinnacle Pools and our very creative client worked through all of the challenges a unique block can throw at you and came up with this really special space. It merges seamlessly into its surrounding landscape, with all the bare-foot comfort you could want.

Huzzah! 💃💃💃🕺🕺🕺We are thrilled to share that on Saturday night Pinnacle Pools was awarded the SPASA Gold Award for Concrete Pool up to $240k for our Dapto collaboration with Corey Fox Landscaping, Life Outdoors and Breana Graham Landscaping.

This gorgeous Mediterranean-inspired project was nestled into the escarpment of a very steep block taking in soaring views over the Dapto Hills and has turned a virtually unusable pocket of land into a stunningly beautiful, low-maintenance and family-friendly oasis our clients will be revelling in for years to come.

We'd like to thank Corey Fox Landscaping who's vision shaped the project and whose company is always a pleasure onsite; Breana Graham Landscape Architecture for technical plans and design collaboration; Life Outdoors who created the pool-side cabana to relax after a swim and finally Ben & Gab for capturing the project and making it look so worthy. An accomplishment like this is definitely a team effort! We'd also like to thank SPASA NSW for honouring us with this prestigious award.

The Sukabumi look, without the Sukabumi maintenance.

Indonesian Sukabumi stone has become one of the most coveted pool finishes in the world. That deep, shifting green that changes with the light and the depth of the water reminiscent of the pools in luxury resorts from Bali to the Maldives.

The problem is Sukabumi is porous, reactive to pool chemicals, and notoriously high maintenance in an Australian climate. These tiles from Artisan Exterior deliver the same visual result without the upkeep and we think they look fabulous!

Designed to take full advantage of spectacular views while minimising the impact of a wind-prone location, this pool is designed to integrate seamlessly with the striking new architectural home alongside it.

The clients opted for a narrow front coping line to emulate the look of an infinity edge, while still providing the wind-sheltering glass fence for comfort and practicality.

The result is a pool that can be readily heated and enjoyed year round.

We know you're so excited to get your new pool and plenty of effort goes into the shape, colour, the step layout, the tiling. But what we often see is that the pool fence is a bit of an afterthought - when the decision fatigue is real!

Your pool fence is not just a compliance checkbox. It is a design opportunity.

At our Belleview Hill project, the pool fence was designed with the same intentionality as every other element in the space. Custom steel, elegant proportions, framing the pool like a picture rather than feeling like a cage.

And while the pool is certainly stunning, this fence is really its little black dress.
