A worksite isn't the usual place to ask someone how they're going, but today we're making it one, because you never know who's carrying something.

It doesn't take much. Listen properly when a mate starts talking. Make room for the bloke who's gone quiet. Or say something yourself, if you're the one who needs to.

Ask twice if you have to. "Yeah, I'm good" is the standard answer and it isn't always the true one.

This project was part precision cutting, part creative collaboration and involved one very big rock!

Our team recently headed to Maleny to wire saw through the full diameter of a 86-tonne rock for renowned Australian sculptor and “Australia’s Creative Cowboy”, Chris McKenzie.

Chris is transforming the rock into a large public sculpture for council, and needed our help to prepare the stone for its next chapter.

It was the first time our wire saw had been used for a project quite like this, demonstrating the versatility and precision of the equipment on an extraordinary scale. A representative from Tyrolit also joined us on site to see it in action.

We’re proud to have played a part in bringing Chris’s vision to life and can’t wait to see the finished sculpture.
