Some places stay with you long after you leave them, Deer Park Estate is one of those rare places.
Earlier this month I escaped to this extraordinary sanctuary created by my dear friends Nick Samartis, whom I’ve collaborated with since our Vogue days creating exceptional imagery together, and the incomparable , whose beautiful large scale works I’ve long collected personally and sourced for clients alike.
What they have created at is so much more than a retreat, it’s an immersive world of beauty, art, nature and impeccable taste. Every detail feels considered and deeply personal, layered with hand-selected pieces, soulful interiors and the most incredible kitchen where we prepared long, luscious meals surrounded by wilderness, laughter and conversation.
Set amongst 100,000 acres of untouched National Park, with deer and wallabies roaming freely across the property, the estate feels cinematic yet deeply grounding all at once. From the daylight studio and artist atelier to the outdoor cinema and beautifully curated living spaces, every inch reflects a life devoted to culture, creativity, storytelling and beauty.
And somehow, this magical world is also available for bespoke retreats, intimate gatherings and photographic shoots, something I honestly cannot imagine parting with, even for a weekend.
A true labour of love and such an inspiring place.

Ah Milan…I fell straight into colour and tonal heaven, desert rose cashmere, soft grey Palladiano, creamy gelato licorizia, raw travertine and buttery-plum leather. A kind of delicious camouflage where everything just… belongs. I love this collection of special Milanese doorways, my favourite outfit, the ultimate gelato and one of my favourite exhibits. Intimacy by Studiopepe felt like the quiet soul of Milan Design Week. Set in their historic apartment on Viale Abruzzi, the space becomes deeply personal,part exhibition, part exploration, but above all, a masterclass in interior design, styling and decor. Effortless. Layered. Complete.
This is why I come to Milan 🤍 I get deep colour-coded satisfaction!

Some moments at Salone feel bigger than the week itself. After a week of complete intensity I now have time for a caffé and reflection.
Being welcomed into Casa Fornasetti and within the original 1940’s studio and archive for a private tour is something I’ll carry with me for a long time, one of those rare, almost surreal experiences that sits quietly above the noise of it all.
Hidden behind the energy of Milan Design Week, this house feels like stepping into another world. Not just a space, but a living archive, layered, immersive, and deeply personal. Every room unfolds like a story, filled with pattern, imagination, and an unmistakable creative spirit that still feels alive in every corner.
You can sense Piero Fornasetti’s mind everywhere, playful, obsessive, endlessly inventive. And through Barnaba, that vision continues to evolve, keeping the house not just preserved, but in motion.
It’s less of a home and more of a universe, part residence, part atelier, part dreamscape. A labyrinth of ideas where art, design, and life blur into one continuous expression.
In a week defined by spectacle, this was something else entirely. Quietly powerful. Deeply resonant. Unforgettable.

At Alsahwa Estate, we have masterplanned and designed a regenerative ecosystem rather than a development. Every element, from architecture and interiors to the working farm and landscape, is interconnected and guided by the land itself. Productive agriculture, spray-free growing and thoughtful built form come together to create a place where food, community and design exist in balance. This is a future-focused model rooted in soil, climate and long-term regeneration. Biodiversity corridors are woven throughout the masterplan, connecting edible landscapes designed to serve and supply the on estate restaurant, ēthos. Guided by passive design principles, every built element responds to climate, soil and season, it is truly soil to soul. With ēthos restaurant now complete and thriving, we are stepping into the next and most ambitious architectural challenges on the estate, and I’m so excited to share the evolution of the development as it unfolds. 🙏🏽

AZBcreative teamed up with the brilliant to create the HQ in melbourne studio were tasked to bring a refined, hotel-like experience to the entrance of Buzz HQ in Melbourne.
We designed and crafted 200sqm of custom Palladiano marble flooring, selecting a striking palette of Red Travertine, Rosso Levanto, Cream Vein Travertine, Emperador Light Marble, and Verdi Alpi Green Marble—oversized chunks meticulously arranged to create a bold first impression.
Elevating the space further, we constructed two monumental 6-metre solid Calacatta marble bars with sculptural bullnose edges.
At the heart of the foyer? Our ‘GATHERING’ communal table, a signature piece from the Collection—handcrafted from a 50-year-old teak slab, custom-made by our artisans in Indonesia.
A true fusion of design, craftsmanship, and timeless luxury. ✨

Researching a new residential project: Always coming back to Palladio… This doorway at Villa Repeta, Vicenza (1672) is everything — that Italianate language we reference time and again at .studio . The patina on the walls, the finely coffered timber, the shell-scalloped plaster detailing — it’s restraint and ornament in perfect balance.
That sun-faded paint tone everyone tries to replicate but never quite gets — soft, chalky, effortless. It’s a masterclass in proportion, craft and materiality. Nothing is ever just a doorway.

There’s something magical about an Italian festa... The clinking of glasses, the warmth of voices rising in laughter, the hand-woven garlands fluttering above long tables where stories are shared, and memories are born. It’s in the details—the delicate lace of nonna’s tablecloth, the rich scent of freshly baked focaccia, the golden light casting shadows as the sun dips behind terracotta rooftops.
I will always remember my favourite weddings, the air electric with joy, the village square alive with music, children darting between dancing couples, and a sea of faces glowing with love. They aren’t just celebrations; they are happenings—a pulse of life that brings everyone together, bound by tradition and passion.
At AZBcreative, this spirit guides us, in our permanent hospitality and residential projects but also with our very special projects where that momentary experience lasts in our memory forever. We AZBcreative are super super excited that our amazing project Noku Beach House is featured as the most beautiful villa in the world in the new Netflix show premiering this month.
Am even more excited that NoKu is featured in the opening scene of the trailer!! Mindblowing!!
Cannot wait to see this series and the incredible properties on this earth that we sit beside!! So brilliant.
