At this Lake Macdonald build, an automated louvred pergola filters the afternoon light overhead, a custom outdoor kitchen sits ready at the bench, and a full-length dining table pulls the whole space together; all framed by the same fire pit and pool deck that carry through the rest of the build.

The client originally approached us with a simple request; to replace their deck and retile around the pool. Instead of just taking instructions, we listened, explored their ideas, and carefully assessed the site. From this, we saw an opportunity to elevate the entire space.

We proposed a fully tiled pool surround and patio area, creating a seamless, modern finish that would make the area feel larger, reduce maintenance, and deliver greater long-term value.
The client embraced the vision, and with our detailed proposal and step-by-step guidance through product selections and demolition, the project came to life.

Today, what was once a tired outdoor area has been transformed into a clean, spacious, and inviting extension of the home. The new poolside setting not only enhances lifestyle but also sets the stage for countless gatherings where family and friends can connect and create lasting memories.

This Twin Waters renovation proves the biggest transformations don’t always start with a blank canvas. 👏🏼

We were engaged to breathe new life into this family’s existing pool and surrounds extending the wet edge wall, relevelling the pool shell and giving the whole space a fresh finish that flows into the home’s outdoor living areas.

Finished in pebblecrete, paired with Porcelain coping tiles and ceramic mosaic waterline tiles, the pool now reads clean and refreshed. In addition new Porcelain Tiles were laid across the alfresco and pool surrounds to match the coping, framed by Frameless Glass Pool Fencing an uninterrupted sightline.

The existing deck was replaced to meet the new pool look, the existing deck was remove and new replaced with new Trex Decking, while new artificial turf extends out to meet the pool shell.

This one came with its challenges infilling the existing pond, matching new concrete and tiling seamlessly into the existing structure, and extending the wet edge wall without compromising the pool shell. The result is a refreshed space built around how the family uses their outdoor area.

A pool house, a concrete pool, and a hardwood deck.

Three separate builds brought together to form one connected outdoor living space. The site sloped away from the existing home, with sandy clay sitting over weathered sandstone.

Before any work began, the team had geotechnical investigations, slope stability assessments, and a full structural engineering package completed. Because of the site classification, bored piers were needed to reach the sandstone below. It is the kind of detail nobody sees, but it is what holds everything in place for decades.

The pool was built to the engineer's design, with reinforced concrete walls founded into dense sandstone and glass balustrading that meets pool fencing standards. Next to it, the pool house was framed in timber and steel and finished under a single skillion roof. Alfresco, living, bedroom, wet bar, and bathroom areas all sit under the one line. The entire structure was designed and built to meet bushfire construction requirements.

The deck that connects it all was framed and finished in hardwood, chosen for its durability around a pool.

What began as a sloping paddock behind an existing home is now a self-contained outdoor living precinct. Built from the ground up, with the engineering done properly from the start.

Some parts of a build can’t be done by one person. This Caloundra outdoor entertainment area was one of them. 👏🏼

We were engaged to design and build a covered entertaining space off the family’s pool. The roof was framed in and finished, with new exposed aggregate concrete poured across the surrounds to tie back into the existing alfresco.

Slow, deliberate work that only comes together when everyone knows their part.

Some backyards get a new pool. This one got a whole new way to spend a weekend.

The old kidney-shaped pool and rock grotto came out completely. In its place, a 10 metre custom concrete pool with a full-length tanning shelf, a huge spa running eight jets, and a kids’ grotto built into the corner with a proper cave and a starlight ceiling above it.

Behind that sits the piece that ties it together, a raised platform floating over the pool, a 2.4 metre water blade cascading off the front, and a linear gas fireplace built straight into the wall. Outdoor TV and Sonos wired in so the space works just as well at 8pm as it does at midday.

Crazy pave wraps the entire perimeter and flows through to natural edge stone coping, with a custom waterline tile and full glass pebble interior below. Gas and electric heating for quick heat-up all year, and tropical planting against synthetic turf that stays sharp with almost nothing asked of it.

The old timber cabin wasn’t knocked down either, completely renovated into a Hamptons-inspired pool house that now looks out over the whole space.

Built for entertaining, relaxing, and using every single day.
