Meet Gus 🔨

Gus is a qualified carpenter who’s been with us for a little while now, so we thought it was about time we officially introduced him 👊

He’s been a huge asset to the Harley Built team and has fitted into our growing crew amazingly. His work ethic, attitude, and attention to detail have made him a great addition both on and off the tools.

Outside of work, Gus is an easygoing bloke who loves taking the 4WD up the beach, camping with his mates and missus, and winding down with a couple of beers while watching the footy on the weekends 🍻

Stoked to have you on board mate and looking forward to seeing you continue to grow with the company 🔥

Everyone meet Jay 👋

Jay’s another one of the boys who’s made the move across the ditch from New Zealand. He’s been with us for a little while now, so we thought it was about time we officially introduced him.

Jay has been a great asset to the Harley Built team and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow within the company 👊

Outside of work, Jay enjoys spending time with his partner and family, exploring the Sunshine Coast, checking out the small towns around the region, and tackling as many national park walks as possible 🌴🥾

Meet Reece /Holzy
Reece has recently made the move across the ditch from a small town in New Zealand called Gore with his partner.
He’s joined the Harley Built team as a carpenter, bringing a strong work ethic and a solid passion for the trade.
Outside of work, Reece enjoys playing rugby and getting into a bit of boxing.
We’re stoked to have him on board and look forward to seeing him grow with the company and become a key part of the team 👊

What started as a simple rip up and replace turned into a full upgrade 🔨

Originally this job was meant to be a straight swap to new 140x19 Merbau decking, but once we pulled the old boards up we uncovered a few issues — some posts needed replacing and sections of framing had to be brought back up to standard.
No stress though — with clear communication the whole way through, we kept the client informed and got everything sorted properly 👌
We also replaced the old rusted stringers with new stringers and fresh Merbau treads, tying everything in with the new deck.
End result speaks for itself — solid, clean, and built to last.

Had an absolute blast transforming this space.

We removed the old deck and upgraded it to EkoDeck Leatherwood — completely changing the look and feel of this backyard.

Clean lines. Seamless joins. A rich, modern tone that complements the home perfectly.
No oiling. No sanding. No ongoing maintenance.

Just a sharp, long-lasting outdoor space built to handle Queensland conditions year-round.

All set and ready for the glass balustrade to go in and finish it off properly.
