Okay… we’ve had the van wrapped for a few weeks now, but I still get a little excited every time I see it! 😂❤️

There’s something about seeing your business name and branding out there on the road that makes it all feel a bit more real.

And a HUGE shout-out to Sam and the team at Mr Signman for doing such an amazing job on our wrap. 🙌 We absolutely love how it turned out!

Sometimes it's about switching off, getting outside and enjoying everything the beautiful Sunshine Coast has to offer.

This weekend, Facundo and Mila enjoyed a run along beautiful Coolum Beach. 🐾

We're lucky to live, work and spend our downtime in such an amazing part of the world.

For many homes and businesses, the answer is yes.

Starlink can be an excellent alternative to the NBN, particularly in areas where Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) isn't available or where traditional internet services don't perform well.

But here's something many people don't realise...

🌧️ Why does my TV pixelate when it rains?

"Every time it rains, our TV starts breaking up."

If you've ever said this, you're definitely not alone.

Many people assume the rain is causing the problem, but in reality, the rain is often exposing an issue that's already there.

Here's why.

Television signals travel through the air before they're received by your antenna. During heavy rain, water droplets absorb and scatter a small amount of that signal. This is known as *rain fade*.

If your TV signal is already weak, that extra loss can be enough to cause picture breakup or pixelation.

But that's only part of the story.

On the Sunshine Coast, we also see a lot of problems caused by our coastal climate. Years of salt air, humidity and harsh weather can slowly damage roof-mounted equipment.

Common issues include:
✔ Corroded antenna connections
✔ Rusted mounting hardware
✔ Water getting into coaxial cables
✔ Moisture inside amplifiers or splitters
✔ Loose or weathered connectors
✔ Antennas that have moved in strong winds

Once water gets inside a cable or connection, it doesn't take much for your TV reception to become unreliable.

That's why many reception problems only appear during wet or windy weather.

💡 If your TV works perfectly on sunny days but pixelates every time it rains, it's usually a sign that something on the roof needs attention—not that you need a new television.
