These are so beautiful.
If you go back to my previous posts when I started these from seeds.

And the journey watching these grow from seed to seedlings to transplanting the seedlings Into my garden beds and now they are flowering.
Life is amazing how to continues to grow and evolve.

Watching the changes weekly and taking photos of the progress of plants.

Beautiful healthy plants.

These marigolds can be grown in subtropical climate Autumn/ winters.
Dry winters. (Not summer)

They also prefer to be grown in southern states in summer. Dry summers. (Not winter)

leafy .

My seedlings are now growing very fast.
Once they have the 2nd set of leaves bigger, they will then be transferred to individual pots to grow out more.

Hint...
As they are a bit floppy, sow them out and cover with soil, right up to the 1st set of leaves. This will help them to stand up, plus the root system will be more in the soil and receive more nutrients to grow stronger and healthier.
A tip I got from my local nursery I volunteer at.

Sown seeds:

Hot Cayenne Pepper

🌱 From Seed Tray to Solo Pots!

There is nothing quite like the satisfaction of seeing those first "true leaves" appear and knowing it’s time for an upgrade.

I sowed these Cayenne Pepper seeds back on February 22nd.

They’ve been soaking up the sun on the south wall, and today they officially graduated from their communal starter tray into their very own individual pots! 🌶️

Moving them into their own space now prevents the roots from getting tangled and gives each plant the room it needs to grow strong and productive.

Next stop:
Watching these little guys turn into a spicy harvest! ☀️

These will be ready to go to new homes in about 2 weeks.

So if you are interested in purchasing these chilli plants, they are $3 each.

My HONEYCOMB Marigold seedlings are coming along very well.

You can see on the label when I sowed out the seeds.
Sowed seeds : 3rd feb.
Used Searles potting mix and put the seeds in top of soil and then added vermiculite on top and watered.
Left near sth facing wall. Morning sun only.

Here in South East Qld, this is the time to sow and plant out marigolds.
Marigolds don't like our hot humid summers.
These seedlings look beautiful and healthy green.

The flower that thrives on neglect! 🧡💛

I’ve been trialing something new this season:

Cosmos 'Bright Lights'.

These vibrant orange and yellow blooms have absolutely surprised me with how fast they grow, but the real shock was my watering trial.

I split my crop into two groups: one regularly watered and one left mostly to its own devices.

The results? The plants in the drier soil are significantly healthier and stronger!

The Life Cycle:
As you can see in the photos, once these beauties bloom and self-pollinate, they drop their petals and pour all that energy into the next generation.

Harvesting:
I wait until the seed head is fully dry and "opened" before snipping. Each pod is then hand-cleaned and tucked into a labeled bag with the specific color and harvest date.

Ready to add some low-maintenance color to your garden?

These seeds are must for any flower garden.
Each to sow and grow.

Once I harvest more seeds, I will add these to my online store for you to purchase.
