It’s been a wet one in Newcastle!

Our friends at Programmed Commercial Painting Newcastle needed a reliable way to keep things dry so their projects stay on track. With all this rain, a controlled environment is essential for safe, quality finishes.

That’s why they’ve called on Humiscope again to rent one of our high-capacity dehumidifiers. We’ve organised fast delivery from the Gold Coast straight down to Newcastle, making sure the weather doesn’t slow them down.

Schulte’s has been making their iconic Mettwurst sausages for over 70 years - supplying major supermarkets and premium butchers around Australia.

But in summer, Queensland humidity was slowing things down.

Project #8 : Humidity Control in Pharma Production

When you're working with ultra-fine powders, even a little moisture can cause big problems.

One of our pharmaceutical clients in QLD was facing serious production issues - powders were absorbing moisture, becoming sticky, clogging machines, and slowing everything down. Not ideal when you're on tight delivery deadlines!

So, we installed a TFT Air Dry 1000 Desiccant Dehumidifier - a food-grade, GMP-compliant unit built for exactly this kind of job.

From Re**er Container to Climate-Controlled Storage Room

We’re transforming this former refrigerated (re**er) container into a fully customised humidity-controlled storage space for one of our clients.

Why? They needed a solution to protect valuable stored items long-term with stable temperature and humidity control to prevent mould and deterioration.

This tidy install features:
~ Checker plate aluminium flooring – strong, safe and easy to clean
~ TFT dehumidifiers and air conditioning – installed for maximum performance~
~️ A neat rear partition that houses the HVAC and dehumidification system separately

This is already shaping up to be another great example of Humiscope’s custom climate control in action!

Project #7: Seed Storage for Global Mining

How do you protect native seeds for land rehab in one of the most remote parts of the country?

When global mining company South32 needed a smart solution for storing biodiversity-critical seeds on Groote Eylandt (NT), they partnered with Humiscope to make it happen.

The result? We converted two shipping containers into fully insulated, climate-controlled rooms built at our Gold Coast facility and delivered ready to run onsite. Each unit includes:

~ Commercial-grade refrigeration from the awesome Koldpak
~ Bespoke Desiccant dehumidifiers manufacture by our long term suppliers, TFT Dry Air Solutions
~ Internal lighting, shelving, and custom controls

The containers hold a steady 4°C and 30% RH, keeping seeds viable for future land regeneration.
