Welcome to Frankie and Chai-Spices Purrfect Catio; consisting of a free standing enclosure, purrfectly laid out with catertainment, floor to ceiling and connecting to the home with a metal mesh tunnel system. We have an offset scratching climbing pole, rope bridge, three carpeted nesting boxes with access holes and archways; a carpeted bed for resting in the midday sun, steps and tiered platforms for height access along with a small tree left to grow inside. The tunnel has two access doors and decking boards for the base. This is definitely one Purrfect catio!

Welcome to Moses’ and Tinkers Purrfect catio. One of our latest catio builds offering plenty of CATisfaction; Rope bridge, sisal rope climbing poles; carpeted enclosed platform tower, places to bask in the sun and many spots to view the birds. This was an extension of a previous enclosure built by Launceston Pet Enclosures, who did a great job but was unavailable to do the extension so suggested give Purrfect Catios a shot and we are grateful for the opportunity.

This Catio build offers everything a cat could want. It is an excellent use of the space wrapping around three walls of the home and allowing full roaming of the back area and then all the excitement neatly tucked into a strip of land without losing too much of the backyard(not factoring in the portable cat run that takes up the majority of the backyard) essentially Cleo has majority ownership of the backyard area.

This was a great build and will keep Cleo content without strolling out and about.

We have space to roam safely;
A place to rest in and hammock;
Climbing scratching pole;
Rope bridge spanning 1.8m;
Custom build Access to the portable cat run that extend further into the yard;
Plenty of vantage point at height;
Cat door installed into the garage door for autonomous access
Polycarbonate roof for all weather conditions;

What started out as a request to build a single bookshelf, turn into an entire room of floor to ceiling bookcases to showcase a rather impressive book collection. 11 3.3m high bookcases with cupboards and five floating box shelves to completely wrap the whole room. This was a massive task and I’m so proud to present it now after three months of effort; from designing to constructing and hand painting, I performed all these tasks, whilst Joinery Connection in Devonport worked with my designs and ideas to provide the complete set of materials. They offered such a professional service, I highly recommend.

The colour scheme is an enchanting green accentuated with premium Porters alchemist liquid gold highlights.

A gold rail system completes the grandeur. In one continuous loop of the room, it allows for the custom-built hardwood and gold metal rung ladder to hook on and safely access every inch of the library.

A slight “stray” from my normal catio projects, I was given this opportunity and took it and backed myself having not done any joinery to this magnitude before.

Such an amazing challenge.

Happy new year everybody; it’s been such a busy period. We have been booked through until April and this hasn’t allowed me to dedicate time to social media posts. This is glimpse of three catio constructed recently, thank you for all the support along the way.

Our latest Catio is complete and Marjorie is settling in well to her new outdoor space.
With a couple of resting spots, nice amount of high places to feel safe, A rope bridge scratching/climbing pole and plenty of platforms at different levels to run around if desired.
A solid roof, sheltering half the area, allows for all year round enjoyment.
Timber is sealed with three coats of Sikken walnut oil to prolong its weathering
The area is finish with stepping stones and beautiful 15mm white pebble which enhances any project.

It always makes my day when I recieve wonderful feedback from my clients and for Edith the cat to be using the area within a day is a great outcome, she has a very timid and stand-offish temperament, I trust this new space will add to Edith’s growing more comfortable and becoming content happy cat.

Here we revisited a previous catio build, where we were requested to find a solution to make the metal fence posts more cat friendly and climbable. The results are a success with sisal rope cover plates encased over 5 fence posts.

Interestingly, there also was a tree branch propped up as a climbing tree and the cats used it for a time then stopped suddenly climbing it or honing their claws on it. It was observed by the cats custodian possibly it was because the branch had dried out too much and wasn’t working with their claws, so we made a custom unique sisal rope tree with two branches and three carpeted platforms.

*Natural trees/branches are a simple and effective option for climbing and honing claws, but on occasion they made need replacing or a little ingenuity to keep those felines feeling-fine! 😸
