Something a little different for today 👷‍♂️

We recently renovated a boys toilet block at a local school, giving the space a much needed refresh.

As always, a big thank you to our trusted trades who work alongside us to deliver these projects.

A recently completed bathroom renovation.

The original corner bath with the shower over was removed and the space reconfigured into a functional wet area layout, creating a more open and practical design.

A clean finish, thoughtful layout and great natural light make this space both functional and inviting.

Proudly servicing Maitland and the Hunter region.

Happy Friday everyone! Site status: all good and no surprise visitors 😎😆🔨

Well… somehow it’s already February 😅

It’s been a busy start to the year, which has kept us a little quiet on here 👷‍♂️🚿🔨

This year marks 10 years since we started BJ Carpentry and Bathrooms. Ten years of hard work, growth and plenty of lessons (and grey hairs!) along the way.

We’re so grateful for the support from our local community over the years. Being a family-run business in the Hunter/Maitland area is something we’re really proud of 💙

Stay tuned for some recent projects 👀

🎄 That’s a wrap for the year!
We’re now closed for the Christmas break and will be back on Monday 12th January.

All enquiries can still be sent through and we’ll work through them on our return.
Thank you for the support this year, wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy New Year 🎅✨

We’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, it's that time of year and we've been flat out!

This is a custom accessible kitchenette, designed specifically to our client’s needs. It’s wheelchair friendly and sits on lockable wheels, so it can be moved around wherever it’s needed.

Practical, modern, and customised to suit the space 👌

Just a heads up - we’re fully booked for the rest of 2025, but still taking enquiries for 2026 projects. If you’re planning a renovation next year, now’s the perfect time to get in touch!

We’re proud to support the 2025 Maitland Reverse Advent Calendar Drive, helping bring a little Christmas cheer to local families doing it tough 🎄

Each box comes with a set list of pantry items and costs around $50-$60 to put together. A small contribution, but it makes a big difference.

Not able to donate? Sharing this post is just as powerful. 💫

🟡 RUOK Day matters. This year, we want to flip the question.

Most of us are comfortable asking a mate how they’re going. We’ll share a laugh, a story, maybe even a problem. But when was the last time you stopped and asked yourself:

AM I OK?

That’s not always an easy question to answer. Sometimes the truth is no, and that can feel heavy. But acknowledging it is the first step toward change. Because admitting you’re not OK and taking action to work through it can have a profound impact on your whole life, at work, at home, and in every relationship you’ve got.

Across Australia, thousands of TradeMutt shirts are being worn every day. As we know they’re a visible reminder that mental wellbeing is normal, that it’s something we can and should talk about. Every shirt worn is a symbol of shared values: looking out for your mates, building stronger connections, and creating a culture where we can all show up as ourselves.

And here’s the powerful bit, once you take that step for yourself, once you talk to someone and feel the weight begin to lift, you’ve got a story to share. Telling your mates how you reached out and how much it helped isn’t weakness. It’s leadership. It normalises help-seeking behaviour and shows others that it’s not only OK to put your hand up, it’s one of the strongest things you can do.

That’s why TIACS exists. Free, confidential, professional support from people who get it. No waiting rooms, no judgement. The team is just a text or call away.

Text or call 0488 846 988 to connect with TIACS.

This RUOK Day, let’s not just look outward. Let’s look inward. Let’s take the first step.

Because when you check in with yourself, take action, and then share that journey, you’re not only changing your own life, you’re helping change the culture for everyone around you.
