Thought I'd share one of our own home projects.

We love using recycled materials, so it made sense to use all second-hand materials found around the property when we updated our fireplace.
The flue was triple skinned, insulated with fireproof material and clad with corrugated tin.
The old piece of wood was cleaned up, chopped up, and turned into this fabulous mantle.

Ugly duckling, to rustic gorgeous!
