Here is an example of how I do colour bond fences. All post & rails are galvanised steel with the sheeting secured to that. Doing this eliminates the fence leaning over time, prevents sheets being able to get removed easily by impact, and is generally just built to last.

If this style and strength suits your needs, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Well it's been a while since my last post and a lot has been happening.

Here are a few of my most recent jobs that I have completed. The galvanised steel post seem to be a favourite among my recent clients, and for good reason.

If you need any fencing and/ or gate needs like the following, please don't hesitate to get in contact. It may be busy, and time is a precious commodity for all, however, I will always make time for site visits and will endeavour to get quotes out at the earliest convenience.

As always, thank you to everyone for the support towards a small local family business. It means the world.

Wow, what a busy month.

I went from installing a little colour bond fence & gate to an awesome timber style fence.

This fence was installed in The Range, and was an absolute treat to complete. With many mortice joints and old school carpentry involved, it was not the typical timber Pailings fence. A massive solar sliding gate and man gate, also custom made by myself. The gates themselves were a massive challenge to build due to not being square, but still level and square to the post.

Most styles of fencing can be done with timber, and it is always a pleasure installing these "fancy" timber fences.

If you would like similar fencing, or most types of fencing, please don't hesitate to reach out. Anything is possible.

Why choose Picket To Post to install your new fence?

Because at Picket To Post quality is NEVER a compromise. It doesn't matter if good quality will force me to run behind in my schedule, if I have had a massive day and exhausted, or if I am working late on a Friday arvy, no matter the situation, quality will always be at the top of my priority list.

It's because of all the little things I do, that go above and beyond, they all add up to ensure you have a beautiful fence. I do all these extra little things to ensure your hard earned money is going towards something you will be proud of. It is all worth it when it comes to improving your property.

Little things like sanding the post tops after being cut off, spending 40 minutes on a single pailing to make a corner blend in with your fence line, ensuring your fence goes with the land topography, spending extra time mixing concrete and working a nice pad. It all takes a lot of extra time and to me it is worth it.

Installing a quality fence is what drives me and my business, and it is what separates Picket To Post from the rest.

A big part of having beautiful timber fences installed to your property with your hard earned money is maintenance to ensure the longevity of the fence life.

Multiple ways this can be done is protecting the timber with paints/ sealers, keeping the line clear of vegetation and of course, the installation process.

Another massive way is having your recommended pest inspections completed. No matter if you have hardwood posts, steel posts etc, termites and fungal decay can easily destroy a fence without your knowing what to look for

In saying this, I would highly recommend contacting Ash at Simple Pest Solutions for your Timber pest inspections and why not get the other critters sorted whilst he is onsite. A small local business means a more intimate experience and closer attention to detail to protect your property and assets.

Last job for 2025.

This job was a great job to do with a great client. The steel post went quite well with the timber finishings.

Looking forward to servicing the CQ area in 2026 and delivering quality and affordable fencing to great clients.

Thank you everyone for the support thus far.

Cheers all,
Tony Rudolph.

From bush to beach.

I love how different every day is in this industry. Last week I was pulling barbed wire, installing steel assemblies in the bush. This week I was at the beach installing a small residential timber fence with multiple double gates and a man gate.

All gates are custom fabricated to suit each fence (no screw together pre-fab gates). This one was a classic example of how important it is to read the lay of the land.

I truly hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas tomorrow. And thank you everyone for the work and/ or support.

What a big few weeks.

Bit of an update. Last week I had the pleasure of installing a front entrance to the property I am currently working on. The clients have been waiting for some time to find someone suitable to get the front entrance completed.

The style is simple but has a nice touch with the top cap rail. Everything was done by myself including the double gates and mailbox.

The mail box is a 44 gallon drum from the WW2 era and I'll tell you know, they don't make them like that anymore. Such a cool feature.

Out in the paddock now for the real rural stuff.

Update time folks,

I went from in town timber fencing to rural fencing with steel assemblies. Looks like I may be "out bush" for a while yet.

There is yet to be grids, gates and the main fencing installed, but progress is tracking along nicely.

Remember, I do most style fencing whether that's in town or rural. And if I haven't done it, I am not afraid to have a crack and get it done to a high level of standard.

If you or anyone you know requires any fencing, please don't hesitate to reach out.

A little job done and another happy customer. After completing the boundary fence for a customer of mine, the neighbours wanted a dividing privacy fence.

This one was quite enjoyable maintaining as much height as possible whilst avoiding a big slope of the fence.

All gates are always fabricated by myself, so NO screw together gates. Fully welded joins, weld on hinges and other little features such as bracing for the latch hole etc.

No job is to big or to small. If you would like a quote for most styles of fencing, don't hesitate to contact me (Tony) on 0438 137 927 or send me a message.
