🏠 Taking this one to the next level 🔧🐻

I’ve been working on this impressive upstairs addition by Tim Sales Constructions, transforming an existing single-level home with a brand-new parents’ retreat, complete with a master bedroom, huge walk-in robe, spacious bathroom and generous study area.

There’s a lot that goes into adding an entire second storey to an existing property and I’ve taken care of the plumbing from the drainage and rough-in right through to the fit-off, including the external guttering and downpipes.

It’s been a great project to be part of and even better seeing it all come together. Another quality local project I’m proud to have Grizzly Plumbing be a part of. 🔧🐻

This mornings stories showed me working and completing the job… but here’s what you don’t see 👇🏼

I headed to this new build today planning to install two stormwater pits, but after investigating, found the existing stormwater line was only around 250mm below ground, meaning the original plan simply wasn’t going to work properly.

I could’ve done the job anyway, charged the client and moved on, but that’s not how I work.

With landscapers booked for tomorrow, I called the client, explained what I’d found and came up with a Plan B. I then called the landscapers directly to make sure that Plan B would still work with what they had planned for the landscaping and to take that extra pressure off the owner.

Did I have to? No. But going that extra mile is part of the service and what I pride myself on.

Sometimes good plumbing isn’t about doing more work - it’s about doing what’s actually right for the client.

Last night’s call-out had me heading to what was reported as a leaking hot water system. After a thorough investigation, the real culprit turned out to be a major grease line blockage.

This is a popular local café, so it was important to get everything cleared properly and have the plumbing back up and running before the Sunday rush. ☕️

Another bathroom renovation complete ✔️

💧 Another drainage problem solved today.

A sump pit and sump pump were installed to stop this homeowner’s laundry from flooding during heavy rain. The system collects excess stormwater and pumps it directly into the property’s stormwater system via the downpipe, ensuring the water is removed from the property completely rather than simply being diverted elsewhere.
