I can understand why the bloke before us didn’t want to get in this roof space… but that’s no excuse.

Both ceiling fans had been screwed in with wall mates, eventually falling out of the ceiling and left hanging by the wiring.

I hope he still loses sleep over this job 😂.

Limited space, but a neat, safe and compliant result. Very happy with how this one turned out.

When the new cooktop is just that little bit bigger than the existing cut-out.

The granite benchtop was carefully cut in compliance with SafeWork requirements, allowing the new cooktop to be installed correctly and safely 👌

⚠️ I received an electric shock from the front of this circuit breaker.

Salt build-up and tracking had deteriorated the switchboard, leaving exposed surfaces live at 212V.

Next time it could be you, a family member, or someone else receiving that shock.

Not every electrical hazard is obvious.

We made it safe by:
✅ Removing all faulty/live circuit breaker
✅ Installing a new weatherproof enclosure
✅ Upgrading all circuits to RCBO protection
✅ Testing and verifying safe operation

Not every dangerous switchboard looks burnt out ⚠️

From unsafe and unreliable ➡️ clean, compliant and fully RCBO protected ⚡️

This switchboard originally had:
❌ 2 faulty RCDs
❌ No RCD protection on most circuits
❌ Brittle, deteriorated gear

Now upgraded with individually protected RCBOs for safer, more reliable power and easier fault finding 👌
