🌸 FULLY BOOKED 🌸

Our end of season Pick Your Own sessions are now fully booked!

A huge thank you to everyone who booked. We’re so excited to welcome you to the farm and share the last of our beautiful ranunculus with you.

And to those who missed out, we’re so sorry! We wish we could fit everyone in. Thank you so much for your interest and for supporting our little farm.

Stay tuned for our summer and autumn Pick Your Owns.

🌸 PICK YOUR OWN RANUNCULUS 🌸

We were so looking forward to opening the farm gates this weekend for a Pick Your Own session, but it looks like the heat may bring our ranunculus season to an end a little sooner than we hoped.

So, before they’re gone, we’re opening up a couple of evenings this week for you to come and pick your own ranunculus.

🌸 Tuesday | 5–6pm🌸 Wednesday | 5–6pm

Bring your own bucket or vase, pick your own blooms and get your pics among the flowers while you’re here.

Bookings are essential and spots are limited, so get in quick and send us a message to book your spot.

A little farm disclaimer: We’re only in our second year, so things are still very much a work in progress. There are currently no established paths or toilets, so please come prepared for a true farm experience.

We’d love to see you out here and share one last little taste of ranunculus season with you!

One of the most rewarding parts of growing flowers is seeing them leave the farm and make their way into the hands of others.

This week, we’re feeling incredibly proud after supplying our blooms to four local florists- Bute Blooms Kadina , Carbery Flowers , Little Bakes & Blooms and Daisy Lane Flower & Gift Bar Maitland .

A huge thank you to each of you for supporting our little business and choosing to share locally grown flowers with your customers. It means more than you know.

It’s pretty amazing to think that flowers grown and picked by us are now available in Minlaton, Maitland, Moonta and Kadina.

We love that more people are starting to ask where their flowers come from, who grew them and what’s actually in season.

Because buying locally grown flowers is about more than just a beautiful bunch. Every flower has a story, and we feel pretty lucky that ours are becoming part of so many stories across the Yorke Peninsula.

What started as a dream is slowly growing into something we’re so proud of.

And this is just the beginning.

🌸 Ranunculus season has arrived! 🌸

We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready to share these beautiful blooms with you. From soaking, pre-sprouting and planting, to finally harvesting.

This year we’ve been experimenting with different methods of pre-sprouting, including the bag method and pre-sprouting in buckets. We’ve found the buckets much easier to manage than trays and, best of all, they’ve been a real time saver!

After all that preparation, it’s so exciting to finally see the rewards of our hard work and have these gorgeous ranunculus making their way into the hands of local florists and hopefully, into yours too.

We can’t wait to share the season with you!

We’ve been a little quiet on socials lately, but we’ve been absolutely flat out behind the scenes!

Our last bunch of dahlias took us straight into the next big jobs — labelling plants, collecting seeds, cutting everything back, digging tubers, dividing them and carefully storing them away ready for next season.

It’s been a huge job, including racing the rain to get the tubers dug and spending lots of late nights in the cold shed after work dividing. But we know it will all be worth it when those beautiful blooms return next season.

We’re already so excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to share even more dahlia blooms with you.

Thank you so much for following along with us and supporting our dahlia season. We’re so grateful to have you here and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working towards with you.

Thank you to everyone who came and visited us at our very first Bloom Bar market stall. Your support was overwhelming and we absolutely loved meeting so many fellow flower lovers!

We didn’t manage to take many photos, so if you snapped any while you were there, we’d love to see them—feel free to share them and tag us.

If you visited us and have any feedback, please send us a message—we’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and how we can improve for next time.

We would have sold out within the first couple of hours, so we teamed up with Big Sky Flower Farm to bring in more blooms—lucky we did! Huge appreciation to Jane

Shoutout to Copy King for coming through with our last-minute business cards, stickers and signage—support local!

A big thank you to Bree and the team for organising the Kadina Artisan Market. The information provided made everything so easy for us as first-time stallholders, and we know bringing an event like this to life takes many hours of hard work behind the scenes.

And finally, lots of love to our family for stepping in to help with babysitting, stall set-up, and bouquet making—we couldn’t have done it without you 🤍

💐 Come see us tomorrow at the Kadina Artisan Market in Victoria Square 💐

We’ll be at our Bloom Bar from 12–6pm, ready for you to create your own beautiful bouquets and share in our love of flowers.

It’s also your last chance to enjoy dahlias as the season comes to an end.

We can’t wait to see what you create 😍

Head down to the Port Broughton Easter Seaside Market at the foreshore tomorrow! Make sure you stop by ’s stall — you’ll find beautiful dahlia bunches, calming focus candles, and stunning ceramics.

It’s the perfect way to spend your Easter weekend by the sea.

🌼Dahlia Spotlight 🌼

The very first dahlia we ever grew… and the one that started it all 💛

Meet Winkie Whopper — and she truly lives up to her name.

A dinner plate beauty with blooms up to 30cm across. A vibrant orange and absolute showstopper in any garden.

8 years later and we’re still completely in love.

🌱 Garlic planting season is here in South Australia! 🧄

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, now’s the perfect time to get garlic into the ground.

Garlic is a low-maintenance, high-reward crop—plant it now, harvest around November, and enjoy homegrown garlic well into next year. Even better, a single clove can multiply into a whole bulb of around 10 cloves!

At Little Kalkabury Farm, we have beautiful Italian Purple garlic available as separated planting cloves—carefully selected so you’re getting strong, healthy starts for your garden.

💰 $30/kg (discounts available for orders over 1kg)

📍 Delivery available to Maitland and the Copper Coast, or we can post it to you.

Send us a message to place your order—perfect for planting… or eating too!
