Grappling with the complexity of change, differing and competing stakeholders, each with seemingly reasonable demands and expectations is part of 'holding the space'.

In my latest article I reflect on a life-changing experience back in February 2000 when I attended an MIT Sloan School of Management Exec programme.

Always try to be helpful

It's the 12th day of Christmas Giveaways.

Taking time off is mandatory if you want to stay sharp.
Think my hubby looks pretty sharp in his waistcoat.

What are you doing to take time out.

"How will I add value if I don’t have all the answers?"

If you are constantly the "hub" for every solution, your team members remain just the "spokes." It drains your energy and limits their best thinking.

Facilitation isn't about the tools you use; it’s about holding presence and detachment in tension. It feels wildly uncomfortable to let go of the outcome, but that is exactly where the growth happens.

Join us Wednesday Dec 3rd at 14:30 AWST.

Sarika Kharbanda and I are going live on YouTube to discuss facilitating change when you don't have the map.

A trip down memory lane as I unpack another box of books shipped from the UK. This is especially poignant as the great man left this earth almost a year ago.
Find memories of the exec programme at in 2000. Ed Schein made a lasting impression on me. I am forever grateful for his teaching and how he showed up. Humble and intellectually awesome. Sooo happy to be reunited with this after 12.5 years in storage ❤️🥳

Happy New Year!

Hoping you've had a restful break and ready for the year ahead.

This year I've got some exciting projects and will be doing more speaking - particularly around coaching self-organising teams.

Join me for the first outing with the Systemic Agility Meetup in the UK on March 19th.

Here's the link to register.

I'd love to hear from folks about your experiences of working in self-organised teams, both the challenges and the triumphs.

Feel free to post any questions here too.

Look forward to seeing you there.
