One lesson we learnt from renovating our own house; it's so much easier when you get someone experienced in to do the job. Unless you are a plumber, it can be very tricky to fix a leaking tap. It could take you days, weeks to do a job that could take a plumber a few hours. It’s the same with sleep, let someone with experience help you, so much easier.

Nate, 12 months old, Brabham.

I went to see Nate’s brother 4 years ago, now baby number 2 was waking in the night, could be awake for HOURS every night, mum working full time was exhausted.

Now he is settling easily, sleeping 6.30pm-6.30am and having good day sleeps. Even transfers in his sleep 🙌

Matthew 17 months old, South Guildford.

Was feeding and rocked to sleep, feeding twice in the night. Had been to sleep school, day sleeps improved but nights were still a big problem. Incredibly stressful on mum, she felt exhausted and like a zombie some days. It would take hours to settle him at night and in the night.

Now Matthew is on the right routine, we tweaked his bedding, he falls asleep easily, sleeps 2 hours in the day and 11-12 hours at night. Mum is well rested and feels human again. Hooray.

About Early rising…

SETTLING
5am is often too early for little ones to get up, it can play havoc on their development. Treat it like a night wake and resettle. The more sleep they get the nicer they are to be around 😆

WARMTH
5am is the coolest time of the day, so feel their little armies, chest and face. If they are cool to touch they are too cold to sleep.

FEEDING
Babies can wake early due to hunger, always feed until full As per routine. Offering top ups within the hour of feeding and courses if they are on solids is a great way to ensure they are well fed.

ROUTINE
If your mini me wakes up crying they are likely to be overtired. If they wake up happy and ready to play at 5am they could be having too much day sleep or sleeping too late in the day.

NURSERY
Now the sun is rising early make sure the light in the nursery is fully blocked out and play white noise. Any noise coming from the kitchen etc at 5am can wake baby.

FINALLY
It takes about 2 weeks of a consistent approach to form new habits, you are the parent and you decide what time they get up because when you’re all well rested you can live your best life.

WAS Fed to drowsy and then rocked to sleep. Waking EVERY 40 minutes at night!! Mum was exhausted but didn’t want to do cry it out - that’s some people were telling her to do.

NOW no cry it out. Settling with NO fuss, Sleeping 2 hours in the day and 7pm-7am with one feed.

I’ve been helping babies sleep for 15 years now. So I know some of my followers have teens and might want to hear this….

I helped clear my daughters acne with 4 simple super easy steps. This is what i did;

1. The only product used on her face was olive oil. No cleansers, toners, foundations or moisturisers etc. Applied OLIVE OIL to her face everyday. sounds silly but it’s amazing!!

2. Stopped using sponges and brushes that can carry bad bacteria.

3. Cut out most sugar accept that from fruit and once a week ice cream treat.

4. Didn’t squeeze. As tempting as those little things looks, we resisted 😆

That’s it and it cleared up so quickly, every day seeing improvements and within a month her acne was all gone. 🙌

Hi guys, my name is Sarah I’ve been helping babies sleep for 14 years.

This is Summer my 3rd daughter, she is 9 years old and ready for swimming lessons in winter 🥶

I started this business just before she was born, she has been a good sleeper.

From birth she self settled without fuss, slept 12 hours with 2 night feeds. Around 3 months she was sleeping 7pm-7am with one feed, I was lucky I never had to leave her to cry. She’s always settled without fuss.

Now she still settles easily and sleeps 8pm-7am.
