From the Palm Springs inspired façade to the resort-style pool, every element of this home was carefully considered to create a space that is both beautiful and functional.

Designed around a centrally positioned pool, the home embraces indoor-outdoor living with strong visual connections throughout both levels. Thoughtful details such as the open-air resort-style entry, hidden storage beneath the staircase, dedicated pool powder room, generous scullery and carefully layered material palette all combine to elevate everyday living 🤍

A pool should be more than just a backyard feature 💦✨

At our Sorrento project, the pool was positioned at the very heart of the design, centrally located between the main residence and the garage. This strategic placement allows it to be enjoyed from multiple rooms throughout the home, across both floors 🌴

Whether you're relaxing in the living area, entertaining in the alfresco or waking up upstairs, the pool remains a constant focal point and visual connection to the outdoors.

Of course, great design is about more than what you see. By positioning the pool adjacent to the garage, we were able to incorporate a dedicated pump room, keeping equipment concealed, protected and easily accessible. Located alongside the external powder room, this area creates a practical poolside zone that works seamlessly when entertaining family and friends 👌

Just beyond the entry of our Sorrento project sits one of the home's standout architectural features — a staircase designed to be as practical as it is beautiful.

The lower flight was constructed in concrete prior to the installation of the timber flooring, allowing us to create concealed storage beneath the stairs 👌 A clever use of space that keeps everyday items tucked away while maintaining clean, uncluttered living areas.

Floating above, the upper flight transitions into a striking steel spine stair with matching timber treads, creating a sense of lightness and visual interest. Finished with a seamless frameless glass balustrade, the entire staircase feels sculptural while remaining functional 🤍

It's these thoughtful design decisions that transform everyday elements into features worth talking about.

Positioned centrally within the home, guests are immediately greeted by views through to the stunning pool beyond 💦 Creating visual connection from the entry was a key design driver, giving the home a sense of openness and drawing you naturally towards the heart of the living spaces.

Nestled between the garage and the main residence, the entry porch is sheltered yet open to the elements — a unique transition space that blurs the line between indoors and out. The result is an arrival experience that feels less like entering a house and more like stepping into a private resort 🤍

The front elevation of our Sorrento project was designed to make a statement while still feeling refined and timeless. A cantilever concrete awning paired with slatted feature battens highlights the soft curve of the home, while also providing shade and privacy to the bedrooms below 🌴

Composite timber cladding wraps the entry to bring warmth and contrast, balanced by natural stone detailing to the central garage pier — adding texture, depth and a strong sense of arrival.
