📢 2025 WGEA Gender Pay Gap Data is Out 📢

The latest Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) data has been released, providing key insights into Australia's gender pay gap.
Our latest WGEA Gender Pay Gap data shows improvement, but we know there’s still work to do.

This year, our data shows:
🔹 Female representation in our workforce has recently exceeded 25%
🔹 In 2024, Georgiou promoted 100 employees, of these, 30% were women.
🔹 Georgiou’s 2023-24 median total remuneration pay gap is 31.9% and has been falling consistently year on year.

Closing the gender pay gap isn't just about numbers; it’s about creating a fair and inclusive industry where everyone thrives. We're continuously working on initiatives to ensure real progress.

Our Georgiou team is back in the Gold Coast hinterland and Scenic Rim in Queensland undertaking critical reconstruction works on multiple roads damaged by severe weather events in September 2022.

The project incorporates various slope, drainage and pavement sites in the Department of Transport and Main Roads’ South Coast Region including state-controlled roads within the City of Gold Coast City and Scenic Rim Regional Council areas. Our first site has been mobilised and the team are getting started on slope stabilisation works.

The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery and Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

We are incredibly proud of our very own Paul Lyndon, Health and Safety Manager NSW, for making history as only the second person outside the NSW Ambulance Special Operations Team (SOT) to be awarded this prestigious SOT medal.

His 14 years of dedicated participation in the SOT facilitating trench and confined space rescue training stands as a testament to his commitment to safety, resilience, and excellence. His commitment embodies what we strive for at Georgiou—building a culture where safety isn’t just a priority, it’s a way of life!

Scarborough Beach named 8th Best Beach in Australia!

We’re incredibly proud of this iconic Perth project, where Georgiou worked alongside our client, Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, in 2017 - 2018 to construct this award-winning foreshore redevelopment.

Georgiou redeveloped the public domain areas between Manning Street and Brighton Road, from the shop fronts to the beach's edge, to construct a thriving foreshore and activity precinct.

The redevelopment is a major success story, with thousands of locals and visitors descending on Scarborough to enjoy the world-class beach and foreshore precinct.

Celebrating One Year of the Breakfast Creek Green Bridge!

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since the Breakfast Creek/Yowoggera Bridge opened, creating a seamless active transport link between the inner city and norther suburbs.

Over the past year, this pedestrian and cycle bridge has provided thousands of people with safer, greener and more enjoyable way to commute, exercise and connect with their community. Whether on foot or two wheels, its been fantastic to see so many embracing this vital link and making the most of Brisbane’s beautiful outdoor lifestyle.

The METRONET New Midland Station Project has reached a major project milestone, with the new, more than 800-bay, multi-storey car park officially opening!

The car park’s exterior design acknowledges both the geographical landmarks and the colours of local Aboriginal language groups with the bright exterior colours representing the area between the Western Australian Coast and the nearby Darling Ranges. The facades’ pattern maps the shape of the Swan, Canning and Helena rivers.

With the new car park now open, the old car park will be decommissioned allowing construction to begin on the temporary and permanent bus interchange.

What a way to kick off 2025!

Georgiou, as part of the Tonkin Extension Alliance, which includes BMD Group Constructions, Civcon Civil & Project Management, GHD Group and BG&E has been appointed to deliver the Tonkin Highway Extension and Thomas Road Upgrade Project in partnership with Main Roads Western Australia.

The $1 billion project includes a 14km extension of the four-lane dual carriageway and the duplication of Thomas Road from Kargotich Road to Alexander Road.

The ACCIONA and Georgiou Joint Venture team are building two projects side-by-side – the Coomera Connector Stage 1 North and the new Hope Island station.

This obviously presents some complex challenges and requires expert coordination, but the team is smashing both projects out of the park simultaneously, delivering much-needed infrastructure for northern Gold Coast residents and visitors.

An exciting milestone has been reached on site at the Coomera Connector Stage 1 North project with marine construction works completed on the new Coomera River bridge.

The construction of this stretch of bridge, which spans the Coomera River, has been assisted by Acciona AU & NZ Georgiou Joint Venture’s project marine construction specialists Brady Marine & Civil.

🎉 Project Complete! Mona Vale Road East Upgrade 🎉 After 6 years of dedication and teamwork, Georgiou is incredibly proud to achieve completion of the Mona Vale Road East Upgrade - Manor Road, Ingleside to Foley Street, Mona Vale. This 3.2 km upgrade represents a major milestone for Sydney’s northern suburbs, improving travel times and enhancing the road safety and efficiency for over 34,000 vehicles daily. Key highlights of the project include: ✅ Widening and upgrading of 3.2 km of Mona Vale Road East ✅ Additional climbing and descending lanes to optimise traffic flow ✅ Conversion of Mona Vale Road/Ponderosa Parade roundabout into a signalised intersection. This project doesn’t just benefit commuters or drivers, it also benefits our furry friends! 🌿🐾 We’re even more proud to have installed Greater Sydney’s very first fauna bridge – a wildlife overpass that helps local wildlife move safely between habitats. Bandicoots and wallabies have been recorded successfully crossing the bridge. Georgiou has come a long way since its inception in 1977. Once known as Direct Drainage, we flourished and expanded in 1993 and started a precast company called Geocrete. In 1994, we acquired Roadpave. In 1996 under newly appointed CEO John Georgiou, the three companies merged to become Georgiou Group.

Today we are a national civil and building construction company with offices in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney.

We specialise in building construction, mining, oil and gas, ports and marine, precast, transport (road and rail), urban development and regeneration and water infrastructure.
