A composting project at one of our regular clients h
Property, she has two very large compost bins, she had asked us to check the compost bays and use what was ready however due to bad irrigation and ivy roots utilising it as a growing medium there wasn't much to use and the whole thing needed emptying.

Long story not so short.... we emptied the bins and adjusted the irrigation to ensure thorough watering of the compost, added manure, leaves, twigs and have started this process again.
With adequate watering and no ivy roots taking over in only a few weeks everything is beginning to break down quite nicely!

A little spray with lactobacillus (a beneficial soil/human bacteria) will help to speed things up. At living soil gardens we love this kind of work.

One of our recent gardens that we had to fix up and redo all irrigation/soil work due to previous bad contractors.
This is the finished result and our budget was fairly tight, so we did our best to create a long term beautiful native garden without breaking the bank.
Within 6 months or so everything should start to flourish and fill the gaps.
We have opted for year round colour/flowers and a variety of textures and colours attracting bees, birds and insects to create diversity within this space.

A recent clients garden that we were asked to basically step In and fix a clients garden after another contractor showcased terrible workmanship and left the garden before the job was completed.
This is not the complete beginning of the job but it is some of the way through.

We completed a thorough maintenance of the whole place, improved her soil, relaid all irrigation (which was terribly installed) and then planted the whole place out with natives and succulents.
The job was a challenge, but a lot of fun!

A broken mainline pipe meant I was covered in mud whilst exposing the broken part.

After some digging, glueing of pipe and a little patience we managed to fix our clients broken water pipe.

Luckily I was right next to the river to wash myself down as the water was turned off for a few hours to ensure a proper bond between the glue and PVC pipe.

New clients garden after today's tidy up... Such a stunning space to be able to work with!

Mostly native plants with lots of textures, colours, native trees, a boardwalk and fire pit area.

Looking forward to the continued maintenance working with this new client

I revised a native garden strip I planted out a while ago...

It seems that it's been pretty easy to maintain and is flourishing

It's so beautiful to see the work we do flourish and to remind ourselves that the soil work we do works wonders for the types of plants we use to create our gardens

I found these gorgeous morchella (morel) mushrooms yesterday
They're not very common to find in perth.
Mushrooms are so stunning and so vitally important to our ecosystem!

Produce from our garden..

There's nothing more satisfying than producing your own food, knowing where it comes from, being part of the process and ensuring the soil has the foundations to create healthy nutrient dense food!

Some before and after photos some fig tree we shaped and pruned today.
They benefit massively from hard pruning, it allows airflow, keeps the canopy low and easy to pick the fruit and directs energy to the new shoots and fruit.

A beautiful native garden we finished off mulching today, this time it was mostly in full sun.

So I took some gorgeous photos to showcase the beauty and diversity of native plants.

For reference we attended after around six weeks from the last maintenance and it is still looking beautiful with very little to do and very little w**d growth, full of flowers colour and textures

A recent job where we were asked to install an irrigation system from the tap to water a lawn area (which we prepared and laid) and to add soil to a recently built garden bed which will be planted with natives and succulents

In a few weeks time it will settle in and be lush green and beautiful

Before and after rose pruning job, they were huge roses and hadn't been hard pruned for some time.

They were 'iceburg' roses which usually you don't prune quite as hard, however due to the size and having seen positive results pruning harder, we have them a decent prune ready new shoots in spring..

We will then fertislies and apply preventative sprays for common rose issues such as black spot
