Earlier this year we quoted this fence, but the customer chose a cheaper option. They've now asked us to inspect and repair it.

One of the biggest issues? Instead of using a full-length timber, a short offcut was used to make up the end. Combined with poor fixings and splitting timber, it's a good reminder that cutting costs often means cutting corners.

🔨 Another little fence repair job completed.

This one needed a new gate post, some replacement palings and new capping to tidy everything up and get the gate working properly again.

The old post had seen better days, so it was removed and replaced with the new post to give a fresh, solid finish. To help extend its life, the bottom section of the new post was also painted with a protective coating to help reduce moisture absorption and slow down rot.

Always satisfying bringing an older fence back to life rather than replacing the whole thing.
