We spent the weekend at the Design Show at the ICC Sydney, soaking up the latest in architecture, interiors, materials, lighting and product innovation.

It was a great opportunity to connect with suppliers, explore new finishes, and gather fresh inspiration for our upcoming projects. From bold material palettes to clever design solutions, events like this help us stay current and continue bringing thoughtful, creative ideas back to our clients.

A weekend well spent — full of inspiration, conversations and plenty of design ideas to bring back to the South Coast.

BUILT | SHEARWATER | Entry Moment

There’s something special about an entry that slows you down before you even step inside.

For The Shearwater, the arrival experience has been designed to feel open, calm and considered — with a generous entry space, a beautiful koi pond, and a lush garden setting that brings the home to life from the first approach.

The landscape plays a key role in shaping this moment, with sculptural Dracaena draco trees adding drama, texture and a strong architectural presence. Their bold forms sit beautifully against the softness of the planting, creating a layered garden experience that feels established, coastal and refined.

Honed light blockwork brings a soft, refined texture, while natural timber adds warmth and balance. Together with the water, planting and open entry, the material palette creates a calm threshold that feels both grounded and welcoming.

This is where architecture becomes more than just a floor plan. It becomes an experience.

The Shearwater is all about refined coastal living, natural materials and thoughtful design moments that make everyday living feel elevated.

BUILT | THE TIN SHED — CURRARONG

A modern coastal home shaped by site, restraint and resilience.

Designed on a tight site beside the waters of Currarong Creek, The Tin Shed balances bold contemporary form with a calm connection to its natural setting. The project required careful planning around flood considerations, site constraints and practical coastal living, turning those challenges into key drivers of the design.

The result is a home that feels refined, efficient and grounded in place. Clean lines, considered materials and a strong architectural presence come together to create a modern dwelling that responds directly to its environment.

This is the kind of project we love, where constraints don’t limit the outcome, they sharpen it.

CONSTRUCTION | A little update on our Kangaroo Valley project. Most of the glazing is installed and the panels are very large! This will help to accentuate the valley views which will be unobstructed!

Once the scaffold is down we will provide another update on the exteriors!
