How often do you sharpen your mower blades?

Dull blades rip and fray the grass leaf instead of making a clean cut, which can stress the lawn and make it more susceptible to disease.
Instead of a sharp, clean edge, the grass is left with a jagged tip that struggles to heal properly. Over time, this can lead to a dull, uneven appearance and reduce the overall health of the lawn.
So this is your reminder to go check over your mowing equipment, make sure its services and ready to go for this upcoming growth season.

🌱 Getting ready for spring
The weather is starting to warm up, lawns will soon start to wake up as temperatures rise.
This is a great time to start thinking ahead and getting your yard in shape by removing leaves, tidying edges, and keeping an eye out for weeds before they take off.
Getting on top of things early makes spring maintenance much easier.

Why Mulch Matters........
Mulching acts as a natural protective layer over the soil, helping to regulate temperature by keeping roots cooler in summer and warmer in winter. It reduces the growth of weeds and also helps retain moisture meaning plants can stay hydrated for longer between watering.
Think of it like a blanket for your garden – keeps your plants cosy and comfortable all year round therefore improving the overall health and visual appeal.

"My lawn isn't growing, so I don't need to mow it."

Just because your lawn grows more slowly in winter, doesn't mean it should be left untouched. Most lawns still benefit from regular maintenance as it keeps the lawn looking tidy, prevents weeds from taking over, allows more sunlight and airflow to reach the grass and prepares your lawn for healthy spring growth.

You won't need to mow as often, but don't forget about your lawns in the colder months.

FAQS - Answered
Q: How often should I mow my lawn?
A: It depends on the season and growth rate. In warmer months lawns may need more frequent mowing such as fortnightly or even weekly, while in winter it slows down significantly and may only need occasional cuts.
