We went straight from Mother’s Day, our biggest flower week yet, into being completely head deep in spring planting… so I feel like I’m only just coming up for air again now 🌱😅

But truly, thank you !!

Watching a van absolutely packed with flowers heading out for Mother’s Day deliveries felt like such a surreal moment for this little business 🌸💕🎀🌷

Seeing so many beautiful mums answering the door to flowers was such a sweet reminder of how meaningful it is to celebrate the people we love.

Very grateful for all of your support, always 🌷🌸

A little Mother’s Day update 🌸

Saturday deliveries/pickup will officially close tonight at 9pm ~ thank you so much for the beautiful support already 💕🌸

After that, all remaining bouquets will be available for Sunday delivery only, with limited numbers left..

Tulip bouquets, 5 remaining 🌷

Market Bouquets, 9 remaining 🌸

Sunday orders will remain open until sold out or tomorrow (Saturday) 9pm, whichever comes first.

Our final Farmers Market for the season 🌸

This Saturday 18th at Robertson Park from 8:30am.

Carts full of flowers, the last of our locally grown blooms before the season pauses and returns again in spring.

Candy’s Picks ~ Honourable Mentions 🎀

If you thought I was done… not quite.

This season has easily been my best yet, and there were too many standouts not to share, so here’s a few honourable mentions that deserve their moment before we wrap this season and series up…

Coorabell Sylvia ~ bold, punchy + impossible to miss
Coorabell Astrid ~ a true staple, the most productive all season long
Darbro Highland ~ colour that shifts with the season, so reliable + pest tolerant
Vintage Wine ~ rich, moody + a little bit magic
Bracken Glenda ~ the quiet achiever, so underrated
Pink Show ~ a classic warm hot pink, forever a staple

And honestly… I could keep going.

Candy’s Picks 🌼

Next up… Brian’s Dream 🤍✨

Not the loudest in the patch… but a quiet standout.

That soft, creamy tone makes it such a beautiful alternative to stark white, still fresh and light but with a little more warmth woven through.

It sits so effortlessly within the Posie palette…
and works across so many combinations. But the real magic is in how it performs…

✨ Perfect ball form
✨ Incredible vase life
✨ Productive yet compact
✨ A true show winner

And honestly… sometimes it’s the dependable ones that earn their place.
This is one I’ll keep reaching for in the garden and in the vase.

Candy’s Culls ✂️
The dahlias that won’t be returning to the Posie patch next season.

This time… West Coast 🌸

Now this is a beautiful variety, and I can absolutely see the appeal. But for me, it just doesn’t quite fit the way I like to grow and arrange.

The blooms are very large, and the stems are thick and bulky, which makes them tricky to work into bouquets in a balanced way. I also haven’t found it to be especially productive, and it doesn’t seem to handle pest pressure all that well either.

That being said…

✨ Stunning in the garden
✨ Big, showy blooms
✨ Perfect for home gardeners

So definitely not a bad dahlia, just not the right fit for my patch.

Every variety has to earn its place… and this one just missed the mark for me.

Is this on your 2027 wishlist?! 🌸💗

Candy’s Picks 🌼

Next up… Bracken Palomino 🍑🍊

Not the rarest or hardest to find… but a true garden essential.

The colour sits in that beautiful warm apricot tone that blends so effortlessly through bouquets and works across so many combinations in the Posie palette.

But the colour isn’t the only reason I keep growing it…

✨ Long, strong stems
✨ Extremely productive
✨ Reliable season after season
✨ A true garden workhorse

And honestly… sometimes the classics are classics for a reason.

This is one I can always count on and one that will never not be in the Posie patch.

Your Easter Saturday plans, sorted 🌸🍩☕️

Flowers, coffee, doughnuts & vintage Land Rovers… the collab you’ve all been waiting for.
I’ll be popping up at Old Wheels Grind from 8am with all the good stuff.

I’ll have a beautiful mix of locally grown and thoughtfully sourced blooms including dahlias, tulips, Easter daisies and petite posies ~ perfect for your Easter table or a little long weekend treat.

Welcome to Candy’s Culls ✂️

Since you’ve all been loving Candy’s Picks, I thought I’d share the flip side…

The dahlias that won’t be returning to the Posie patch next season.

First up… Coorabell Amy 🌸

Now this is a very sought-after variety, and I can absolutely see why.

But for me, it just doesn’t quite fit the Posie palette or the way I like to grow and arrange.

The blooms are quite large, the plant itself grows very tall, and the colour leans a little too dusty compared to the warmer tones I’m drawn to.

That being said…

✨ Very productive
✨ Long, strong stems

So definitely not a bad dahlia, just not the right fit for my garden.

Every variety has to earn its place… and this one just missed the mark for me.
