Want to see some behind the scenes action of how we grow our plants?

Proteaceae plants have amazing flowers, but it can take a long time before they start blooming. It's a labour of love but it's worth every flower.

Here's a sneak peak of some of the processes that Leucadendron 'Harvest' goes through. It's a late winter to spring flowering Leucadendron and it absolutely lights up the nursery at this time of year!

Wildflower wonders

We've been at the 11th Wildflower's Australia Conference on the Sunshine Coast, supporting farmers and florists who work with Proteas and Australian wildflowers.

We're loving all of the beautiful arrangements form the conference. Bankisas, Proteas, Leucospermums and Serrurias all looking amazing. We're loving learning about sustainable floristry and initiatives to cut down on the use of floral foam.

Loving wildflowers as much as we are? Let us know in the comments below!

Are you new to growing Proteas? Not sure where to begin, or have heard they can be tricky to grow?

Special Pink Ice is a great variety to begin your Protea adventure.

It's one of the hardiest selections, and can tolerate heavier soils than other Protea cultivars.

It has a really long flowering period from autumn right through until spring. And the birds love it!

Pretty and Pink is putting on such a show at the moment, keep an eye out for Serrurias at you local garden centre
