Look, I get it, marketing on Instagram can feel like an absolute drag at times. I feel it too sometimes.
But for what it’s worth from my Gen Xer perspective, the alternatives back in yesteryear were effing expensive, short-lived, and more often than not, really hard to measure the ROI on.
So when I compare trying to market a business back then to the opportunities, connections, reach and low-cost tools we have access to now? I know which one I’ll be sticking with, please and thank you.
Because despite its flaws, social media still gives small business owners the chance to connect, build trust, stay visible, and market themselves in ways that simply weren’t accessible to most of us years ago.
