Today we needed to remove a Jetmaster, that had been bricked in position many moons ago, leaving us no other option than to plasma cut it out.
In some cases we can leave some of the casing in place, 1 as it’s still keeping the upper gather in position, and 2 its non combustible so doesn’t effect the installation, of the to be chosen heater.
Great result once measured up, we can now decide on what’s going to go in, and replace to old open fire. Stay tuned 🛠️🔥🛠️

Getting technical today, had an old heater fan that had noisey bearings, and a new heater fan with a cooked motor. Once pulled apart and a bit of part swapping, we had a smooth and quite running fan again, feeling pretty pleased 🙌🛠️👌

Here we had a chimney set up, that was leaking into the brick cavity, didn’t draw well and was feeding smoke from one flue to the other. Raising your flue/cowl off your chimney top, helps the smoke get away and not trap it in, when wind blows over the top of it. Staggering the different heights, will also stop one flue from feeding the other, especially when both are running at the same time.

You only get out what you put in, bare metal respray and the paint just drops on. Finishing touches for a restored heater, not far off it’s forever home 🙌
