Happy 40th birthday to the other half of Handy People Co 🎈
We're so lucky that we get to do a big life together. We have amazing adventures; from a massive state-wide project for Kmart, riding motorbikes around the European Alps, driving our caravan across the Nullabor, riding downhill MTB and everything in between. Couldn't imagine a better best friend and soon to be hubby!

It's been a few days since the annual Empowered Women in Trade Gala and I wanted to take a moment to reflect and share my thoughts...
I was honoured to stand alongside my beautiful friends and as we were all award finalists and I thought "how awesome is this moment, I'm standing here with two of my friends and we're all being acknowledged for our hard work and dedication to our craft". It's not often you'd get to share a moment like that.
It took a lot to get me to the awards. I've experienced more hardship, death, loss and stress in the last few years than most have in their whole lives but I couldn't have done it without my amazing partner Matt (my ride or die and my absolute rock 💗) my beautiful family, my friends who haven't seen me in over 12 months (so it was also a good chance to provide them with a proof of life! 😂).
Thank you so much to Hacia and the incredible EWIT team for all that they do in this space. Your own journey to empowerment is incredible! To all the sponsors for not only making the night possible but for supporting women in construction.
I remember many years ago working in commercial construction on major CBD development sites and being the only female on site with hundreds of men. It was intimidating and filled with innuendo, staring, cat calls, judgement and all the behaviours you can expect from that era. I also worked with amazing men who taught me so much and respected me for everything that I brought to the table. This gave me strength and reminded me to stay uncomfortable because that's where the growth is 💪
Fast forward to today and it's incredible to see so many women having the courage to challenge themselves and show up in some amazing ways.

Yesterday we said our final goodbye to a loving and beautiful man, Matt's dad Hans who left us way too soon. Our hearts are shattered 💔
To lose a parent is hard to comprehend, it feels surreal and to know that all of our memories from this point on won't include him, is a really painful thought to bear.
What a privilege it was to know him, to love him and be loved by him.
We are so grateful for all the time we had and know that we'll meet again somewhere in the universe ✨
Thank you for everything Hans. We love to you the moon and back and even though life will never be the same without you, we will hold you in our hearts for eternity and remember all of the things you've taught us, especially in death.
Be good.
Forgive.
Help as many people as you can.
Hug your parents, let your loved ones know how much appreciate them, make peace with people who've hurt you, let things go, tell people you love them often 🙏💙

What an honour to be witnessed for the blood, sweat and tears and dedication to my work. To be seen and acknowledged is so humbling and reminds me that even though I don't share enough on social media, our work and impact is being recognised 🙏

Working on my dad and stepmums beautiful new home! How's that pool?!?! 😍😍😍😍
My dad and I have started installing the glass pool fence and getting everything ready for the Certificate of Occupancy.
This home is absolutely stunning and we can't wait to see it all finished!!
