This job is a perfect example of why getting it right the first time matters.
The original concrete was poured using a standard concrete mix for an exposed aggregate finish, leaving sharp stones exposed and creating an unsafe surface. If this was ordered as an exposed mix the stones would be rounded, making it safe to walk on.
I stepped in to grind back the sharp aggregate and seal the surface, helping restore the finish and make it safer underfoot for the owner of this home and their children.
Concrete isn't just about how it looks on the day it's poured. It's about the quality, safety and durability of the finished product. Ensuring the person you hire has the knowledge behind them leads to a quality pour the first time.
At Bastow Foundations, we believe in doing things properly, using the right methods and delivering work we can stand behind.
