Our socials may have been quiet but we haven’t been. Here’s a look at some of our recent bathroom renovations.

In this project, we removed the old shower-over-bath setup, which wasn’t practical for the client’s needs, and replaced it with a spacious walk-in shower.

The new design features large-format tiles for a sleek, seamless look, complemented by brushed gold fittings throughout for a touch of luxury.

To complete the space, we added a curved shower screen to mirror the curve in the feature tiles, tying the whole design together beautifully.

For this renovation, we chased pipes into the wall to suit a new above-counter mixer, tapware, and shower mixer. The second fix included installing a large wall-mounted vanity with a stone benchtop, an above-counter basin, and a sleek dual shower head.

The end result is a modern, functional bathroom with a clean finish and stylish features. Swipe to see the transformation!

This bathroom transformation involved combining two separate rooms; one with a shower and toilet, the other with a bath and basin, into one spacious, open-plan wet area.

We removed the dividing wall to create a more functional layout, featuring a freestanding bath, wall-hung vanity, toilet with in-wall cistern, progressive wall mixers, and three custom niches for added storage and style.

The result is a sleek, modern space that’s both practical and beautifully designed. Swipe to see the transformation!

Have you ever wondered how clean your water really is?

This dirty filter was recently removed from a household system where it was connected to the main water supply, filtering all incoming water before it reached the taps. Over time, filters like this collect sediment, rust, and other impurities that can be present in the mains supply.

Installing a whole-house water filter is a great way to improve water quality, protect your plumbing fixtures, and extend the life of your appliances. It's a small investment for cleaner, healthier water throughout your home.

If you’re considering a water filter, get in touch—we’re here to help.

Supporting our local community is a priority for us at Hawkes Plumbing & Bathrooms. We were proud to donate to the Madge Sexton Kindergarten raffle and truly appreciate this thoughtful certificate. It’s a pleasure to support the incredible work the kindergarten does for local families, and we're always glad to give back to the community that supports us.

Smart Design for a Functional Upgrade

This recent bathroom renovation involved rethinking the layout to better suit the client’s needs—now and into the future. The original shower was small, impractical, and included a step that made access difficult. After discussing options with the client, we redesigned the space to include a sleek walk-in shower for improved functionality and accessibility.

We installed a Fienza vanity unit, complete with stylish gunmetal tapware and accessories, to create a modern, cohesive finish. The result is a more practical, beautifully updated bathroom that meets the client’s needs without compromising on style.

Not all of our work is pretty bathrooms—sometimes it’s about practicality and performance.

We recently replaced an old, unreliable instantaneous hot water service with a more efficient and dependable Rheem system. The existing pipework was messy and outdated, so we stripped it out and replaced it with clean, professional-grade fittings to ensure long-term functionality and safety.

A neat finish, improved reliability, and better energy efficiency—just another way we deliver quality you can trust.

Bringing Our Client’s Vision to Life—From Interstate

This project required a high level of communication, as our client lived interstate. We worked closely with her and liaised with the real estate company managing the rental to ensure a seamless process and a stunning end result.

The job began with a full demolition, including removing the existing slab to replace rusted cast iron drain pipes. We then redesigned the floor plan in consultation with the client, considering both her vision and the needs of her tenants.

From there, we completed first-fix plumbing and electrical, installed floor-to-ceiling tiles, carried out second-fix plumbing and electrical, and finished with a fresh coat of paint and a brand-new door.

The result is a modern, functional space designed to stand the test of time. Swipe to see the incredible before and after photos!
