As we approach 10 years of Howes Design Co, it feels like a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Greg, founder and lead designer, and for the past decade I’ve had the privilege of helping people turn their ideas into homes that genuinely suit the way they live.

Over the years, I’ve learnt that good design is not about following trends or making a statement for the sake of it. It starts with listening, asking the right questions and understanding what matters most to each client.

Every project is shaped by collaboration between our clients, our team, builders and consultants. Learning the best outcomes come when everyone is working towards the same goal.

A lot has changed over the past 10 years, but the focus has stayed the same: creating thoughtful, practical homes with personality, purpose and lasting value.

Very grateful for the clients, builders, consultants and team members who have been part of the journey so far. Looking forward to what the next chapter brings.

Two homes. One build. Designed together, but never identical.

A coastal lighter form on one side. A darker, more grounded contemporary expression on the other.

They’re tied together through shared material choices cream face brick, consistent landscape language, and detailed fencing like siblings with completely different personalities.

One hides its scale from the street. The other stands bold and layered, carving out space for views, privacy, and a serious undercroft garage setup.

Same site. Same builder. Two very different outcomes.
