Two homes. One build. Designed together, but never identical.

A coastal lighter form on one side. A darker, more grounded contemporary expression on the other.

They’re tied together through shared material choices cream face brick, consistent landscape language, and detailed fencing like siblings with completely different personalities.

One hides its scale from the street. The other stands bold and layered, carving out space for views, privacy, and a serious undercroft garage setup.

Same site. Same builder. Two very different outcomes.

This transformation was all about respecting what was there and keeping the original mid-century roof form while completely reimagining how the home lives and connects to the outdoors.

The result? A light-filled extension that opens up to the pool, blurs indoor/outdoor living, and gives this home a whole new life.

Design isn’t about starting over it’s about seeing the potential and building on it.

From beach shack to family home. This renovation completely reworked a tired 3×1 into a spacious 4×2, with a new front extension, open-plan living, alfresco and double garage.
Designed with a timeless, modern, mid-century feel, the goal was to create a home that works beautifully for family life.
