💛 March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

Some of you may know me as one of the voices you hear on the phone and the chaos coordinator you ring to make magic happen 😄... What you might not know is, that I’ve been living with Endometriosis & Adenomyosis.

After 20 years of suffering with this condition, I finally received my Endometriosis diagnosis in 2020 and Adenomyosis in 2025. Living with daily pain, fatigue, brain fog, muscle aches, migraines, nausea, and so many other invisible—but very real—symptoms, I still have to find a way to power through running a plumbing business, being a mum, a wife (to be - until we get some time to get married!😄) and organise our lovely customers jobs with our amazing little team every day.

Endometriosis is not just a “bad period” — it’s a chronic, full-body disease that can affect almost every system in the body. Beyond painful periods, it can cause fertility challenges, gastrointestinal issues, bladder problems, fatigue, brain fog, and even impacts on the nervous system and more. This disease is no joke, and it’s far more common than many realise — affecting 1 in 7 women, which is over 1 million Australians. Despite its prevalence, it often takes years to get a proper diagnosis, leaving many women struggling with invisible symptoms that are all too real.

With me at the helm every day, sometimes working through bed rest, it takes a very strong, patient, and hard-working bloke to run our business on the tools and take care of me too—that’s our Bearded Warrior, and my husband-to-be, Ryan 😊💛. Behind every Endo Warrior are the people who lift us up, and I’m so lucky to have Ryan, our kids, and my family by my side. They witness the good days and the worst days, and they face the helplessness of a problem they can’t fix or control—but they keep showing up, loving and supporting me every step of the way. I couldn’t be more grateful to Ryan, who not only runs our business alongside me but fights this battle with me every single day - through endless doctor appointments, specialist procedures, acupuncture & chinese medicine sessions... and then gets to hear me talk about it all the time as well - because you all know how I like a good chat 😄😉💛 Thank you bub, for everything 🥰

It’s true what they say about Endo Warriors—we are just BUILT DIFFERENT. And that’s part of why at Mangrove Plumbing & Drainage, we’re built a little different too.

Google has never held onto a Jetter hose running 17.72 horse power, stuck it down a sewer pipe, and pushed 30m of 💩 out another hole, then had to find a way to clean it up and break the news that 62 condoms were the reason it blocked, or the tree roots of the plant hobby your wife started before the chickens, or your teenagers secret vapes they flushed...

Call a Plumber. We've seen it all 🦀
