Sometimes the design calls for angles no drop saw can cut.
Our Tempe rear extension was built around a long skylight running through the new roof, which meant rafters and ceiling framing built to compound angles well outside standard tools. Every one of those cuts was measured, marked and hand-cut to fit.
Once the existing roof was stripped back we found rot in the old framing, so we reinforced it with new rafters and a strutting beam before the job went any further.
The result is a striking extension with natural light pouring through that skylight, sitting on a roof structure that's stronger than when we found it.
