WE R Carpentry

Meet Emile, the guy behind WE R Carpentry.

He grew up in Sydney's Inner West, where construction wasn't just a job, it was family. Following his dad into the trade, Emile started his apprenticeship young and has been building ever since.

Today he leads a crew of skilled carpenters, but he's still on the tools himself more often than not. His rule for every job is simple: imagine the client's reaction before the work even begins, then build to match it.

That's the standard behind every project we take on.

Ask the crew what they love about this job and you'll get an answer without missing a beat: building decks.

There's something about starting with a bare backyard and finishing with a space people actually live in. Room for the kids, somewhere for the barbecue, a spot to just sit outside with a coffee.

Thinking about a deck for your place? We'd love to chat.

Sometimes the design calls for angles no drop saw can cut.

Our Tempe rear extension was built around a long skylight running through the new roof, which meant rafters and ceiling framing built to compound angles well outside standard tools. Every one of those cuts was measured, marked and hand-cut to fit.

Once the existing roof was stripped back we found rot in the old framing, so we reinforced it with new rafters and a strutting beam before the job went any further.

The result is a striking extension with natural light pouring through that skylight, sitting on a roof structure that's stronger than when we found it.

Planning an extension with a few architectural curveballs? That's exactly what we're built for.
