What We Need from You:
To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, organised, and ready to hit the ground running.
Requirements include:
- Fully qualified Electrician certified to operate in Tasmania, holding an Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a qualified A-grade technician.
- Strong, high-level experience across residential & commercial.
- Sharp problem-solving skills with a meticulous eye for safety and detail
- To be self-motivated and have ability to work unsupervised.
- A strong team player who communicates well and takes pride in neat, accurate work.
- Proficient in using technology and job management applications
- Current Australian work rights and a current driver's license.
- White Card & Working with vulnerable people or able to obtain.
- Bonus if you have proven experience with heat pump servicing & installations

Today marks the end of an era at Next Phase as we bid farewell to our longest-serving employee, Tom. After many years of dedicated service, he has decided to move on and pursue an exciting new career opportunity.
Tom joined Next Phase Electrical in January 2014 as a fresh-faced 19-year-old with a willingness to have a go and build a career as an electrician. He was our sixth apprentice and started alongside Fletcher, who not only became his first workmate but also one of his closest friends—standing proudly as one of Tom’s groomsmen on his wedding day.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching Tom grow from a shy, easy-going young bloke into the man he is today. We saw him meet his now-wife, Tiarna, watched their relationship flourish, and celebrated as they became proud parents to their beautiful son, Roy.
For the past nine years, Tom has been a dedicated mentor to many apprentices, helping shape the next generation of electricians. He has witnessed our team grow and evolve and has always been the technician everyone respected & enjoyed working with.
Tom’s contribution to Next Phase has been immeasurable, and while he will be greatly missed by the entire team, he will always remain a valued part of the Next Phase family.
We wish you all the very best on your next adventure, Tom. Thank you for everything you’ve given to Next Phase over the past 12 years.

In our ongoing support of local businesses on the West Tamar, we highly recommend a visit to the Tamar Valley Wine Centre, where you can indulge in excellent coffee, savoury meals and a relaxed ambiance. With the recent addition of an outdoor fire pit and live music performances by local singers on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, this venue has become the perfect spot to enjoy local wines and explore their menu in the company of friends and family.
P.S. I can highly recommend the duck & their pizzas are the best👌
